She didn’t want to do it.
Bobbi Brown shared that mini Miracle Balms were initially made only for Jones Road’s special kits; however, the brand’s legions of fans kept asking to buy them individually. And always one to listen to her base, the brand founder delivered — big time — in minis.
As of today, you can now buy mini Miracle Balms in 15 colors, including two previously limited-edition shades that are now permanent: Cheeky and Chic. (Both are effortlessly chic in wearable pink and plum hues, which the makeup magnate is renowned for.)
The mini Miracle Balms can be purchased individually ($20), or in cost-saving sets of three ($57) or six ($108). The hero product comes in shades for blush, bronzer and highlighter, plus a clear version for an all-over glow.
They are rich and balmy, yet semi-sheer, and are best applied by patting the product on cheeks, lips, eyes, Cupid’s bow, or wherever you want to enhance luminosity. The formula layers wonderfully and keeps dry skin protected from the cold winter air.
Pro tip: Apply a bronzey shade to your neck if it’s paler than your face for a soft, youthful look.
Brown and her team hosted a virtual event last month, inviting beauty editors to get a glimpse of upcoming and exciting new releases — including the travel- and bag-friendly minis.
“We’re launching the minis forever,” she shared of the beloved hero product. “It was overwhelming how many people said, ‘Yes, we want this.’”
The legendary makeup artist also demonstrated how to add all-over warmth to the face and a pop of color to cheeks with a brighter shade, so feel free to play with the different hues.
Stars like Brooke Shields, Cindy Crawford, Paulina Porizkova and most recently, Bethenny Frankel, have all raved about the makeup-skincare hybrid, which adds an incredible glow to skin.
Porizkova posted an unsponsored Instagram post last year about how much she loves Miracle Balm, saying she has three shades, one each for highlight, blush and bronzer. She even uses it on her eyes, calling it “really wonderful for older (and somewhat dry) skin like mine.”
The minimalist product smooths rather than accentuates fine lines, for a natural look.
While the new minis are now permanent, you won’t want to wait to shop for them; there’s always a risk of these popular balms selling out.
