Gwyneth Paltrow is returning to her nineties roots.
This past weekend, the actress attended the Santa Barbara Film Festival wearing a fresh take on one of her most iconic looks.
For the event, she opted for a pink silk Prada set that recalled her iconic bubblegum-hued Ralph Lauren gown from the 1999 Oscars red carpet.
Paltrow’s pale pink outfit boasted a miniskirt, complete with a long train down the back, which she paired with a matching bandeau crop top.
On top, she layered a totally sheer pink spaghetti-strap tank with visible seams that drew inspiration from the popular trends of the ’90s and early aughts.
Paltrow added Christian Louboutin pumps that matched her monochromatic look, and she wore nearly $40,000 worth of Hearts on Fire diamonds, including long drop earrings ($24,000) and two rings totaling $8,400 and $6,400.
The “Marty Supreme” actress, 53, was at the event to present longtime friend Kate Hudson with the Arlington Award — and the pair were coordinated in the same color palette; the latter wore a pale pink and gold Louis Vuitton beaded dress.
The actress spoke to People Magazine about her friendship with Paltrow, explaining, “we lived in England at the same time, and she was a huge support system for me and my son,” to which she added, “She’s always been there for me, like the most loyal, beautiful friend. And I look up to her.”
Hudson also shared her gratitude on Instagram, writing, “Thank you to my beautiful friend @gwynethpaltrow for being there and making me teary with her remarks!”
During her speech, Paltrow echoed the same sentiments, sharing, “she’s like a little sister to me. I’m much older than she is, but I remember seeing her when she was little.”
We can’t wait to see these two blond bombshells on the Oscars 2026 red carpet.
