Man of the moment Bad Bunny has smashed Spotify streaming records after his blockbuster Super Bowl halftime show on Sunday night.
The Tití Me Preguntó singer, 31, wowed crowds as he headlined the Apple Music Super Bowl LX Halftime Show at the Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
Puerto Rican star Bad Buddy (real name Benito Martínez Ocasio) brought his Latin roots to the stadium with his catchy hits including NUEVAYoL, DtMF and EoO.
Following his historic performance he earned 183.7 million streams on Spotify in one single day – February 9.
This marks the biggest streaming day for a male artist since he previously set the record in 2024 and the highest single-day total for any artist in 2026.
Bad Bunny was Spotify’s most-streamed artist globally in 2025, generating more than 19.8 billion streams on the platform throughout the year.

The achievement saw him reclaim the position back from Taylor Swift, who held the title for two consecutive years in 2023 and 2024.
His halftime show just fell short of the all-time viewing record, coming fourth behind Kendrick Lamar, Michael Jackson and Usher.
The 15-minute bonanza at Levi’s Stadium averaged 128.2 million viewers between 8:15pm and 8:30pm, according to official data released by Nielsen on Tuesday.
The record, set by Kendrick Lamar last year, is 133.5m, while Michael Jackson grabbed the attention of 133.4m in 1993 and Usher 129.3m in 2024.
Bad Bunny can, though, celebrate the fact that his numbers far eclipsed Turning Point USA’s rival ‘All American’ show, which peaked at 6.1 million and sat around the 5m mark for much of the YouTube live stream.
The TPUSA show, headlined by Kid Rock with performances from the likes of Brantley Gilbert, Lee Brice and Gabby Barrett, now has 21 million overall views on YouTube.
Bad Bunny, meanwhile, has 62m – but the real win came in the form of live TV viewing figures, and social media coverage in the days since.
Incredibly, clips of the Puerto Rican singer have recorded a total consumption of four billion views in the first 24 hours – up 137% year-on-year – and the top three most-viewed NFL social posts in history are all clips from Bad Bunny’s show, led by his ‘Only Thing More Powerful Than Hate Is Love’ finale.
In total, the clips posted by the NFL’s social team have been viewed for over 115 years on social media platforms.

Bad Bunny blew the minds of fans and viewers as he headlined the halftime show a with surprise support from Lady Gaga and Pedro Pascal.
Gaga made an unexpected appearance alongside the star after his opening medley and sang Die With A Smile – but a rearranged Salsa-style version.
Ricky Martin also joined the show later to perform Lo que le pasó a Hawaii.
‘As a lady gaga fan and a bad bunny fan this halftime show was straight up crack in my veins,’ one fan gushed on X.

‘Bad Bunny was fantastic! I loved the vibes and the whole look/feel. Plus Gaga and Ricky? A+ Benito!!’ read one person’s review.
Another viewer felt similarly and praised the visual elements of the halftime show.
‘Production ten, set design ten, visual concept ten, choreography ten, lady Gaga Ten, Bad bunny you get ten ten tens across the board,’ they wrote.
Others noted that the guest spot was fitting, as Bad Bunny is an avowed fan of Lady Gaga.

Bad Bunny’s mostly Spanish set began with Tití Me Preguntó, which he sang while walking through a sugar cane field that had been constructed on the field.
He was dressed in a short white shirt and white trousers with drawstrings from Zara, and he carried a football in his white-gloved hands.
In addition to Pedro Pascal, the crowd was populated by stars including Cardi B and Jessica Alba.
To conclude the show he shouted ‘God bless America!’ before reciting the names of Latin American countries that many immigrants in the US hail from, adding the US and Canada and his ‘motherland,’ Puerto Rico, at the end.
Behind him, an electronic billboard read: ‘The only thing more powerful than hate is love’ shone out above the field.
Then Bad Bunny slammed the football he was carrying to the ground as fireworks went off on the perimeter of the stadium and red, white and blue smoke filled the air in distinct columns.
Leading up to the Super Bowl, fans had wondered if Bad Bunny would use his biggest platform yet to speak out against the second Trump administration and immigration crackdowns across the US led by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
Even before the hitmaker took to the field, some football fans – particularly MAGA followers and fans of Donald Trump – grumbled on social media about his selection.
It wasn’t Bad Bunny’s first time performing at the Super Bowl, as he previously spiced up 2020’s Super Bowl LIV halftime show with a guest appearance with co-headliners Jennifer Lopez and Shakira.
However, he became the first solo Latin headliner to lead a Super Bowl halftime show with his performance.
His performance comes just a week after he made history at the 68th Grammy Awards ceremony by winning the album of the year award for Debí Tirar Más Fotos.
The win marked the first time a Spanish-language LP has won the coveted Grammys honor.

In his speech – which he delivered mostly in Spanish – Bad Bunny joined other stars in supporting immigrants and alluding to ICE raids across the US: ‘I want to dedicate this award to all the people that had to leave their homeland, their country, to follow their dreams.’
But he made his criticism of the agency explicit elsewhere in his acceptance speech.
‘Before I say thanks to God, I’m going to say, ICE Out,’ Bad Bunny stated before the Grammys audience erupted in cheers and applause.
‘We are not savage. We are not animals. We are not aliens. We are humans, and we are Americans,’ the rapper continued.
‘The hate gets more powerful with more hate. The only thing that is more powerful than hate is love. So, please, we need to be different,’ he continued. ‘If we fight, we have to do it with love.’
Bad Bunny added: ‘We don’t hate them, we love our people, we love our family, and that’s the way to do it, with love.’
