She’s in her Béis bag.
Shay Mitchell shared how motherhood influences how she runs her successful luggage company, Béis.
“I’m a lot more particular with my time,” she exclusively told Page Six at her Béis Bowl Super Bowl party Saturday.
“However, the Béis office is my second home,” the “You” actress, who shares daughters Atlas Noa, 6, and Rome, 3, with partner Matte Babel, said.
“And my girls also love it. There are a lot of snacks over there, so anytime mommy’s going to the office, they are more than happy to come, so it kinda works out.”
Mitchell first became a mother in October 2019 when she and Babel, 45, welcomed their eldest daughter, Atlas Noa. The longtime couple, who started dating in January 2017, then welcomed daughter Rome in May 2022.
The “Pretty Little Liars” alum launched Béis in October 2018, one year before she became a mom. The brand includes luggage, fanny packs, backpacks, cosmetic cases and the fan-favorite, the coveted weekender.
Most of the bags come with built-in organization, including shoe compartments, laptop sleeves and laundry sections.
While talking to Page Six, Mitchell said she wanted to create a bag that was “functional, looked good and in [her] price range.”
“I couldn’t find luggage or bags that sort of hit all three buckets of looking great, having functionality, and being affordable, and so that was my first mission with Béis,” she said.
For women who want to start their own business, Mitchell urged them to “just go out there and make it happen” and to hire the right team.
“Follow your heart, follow your passion,” she told Page Six. “I’d say hire people who are smarter than you because of that I have an incredible team who has strengths where I may not be the strongest and that is one of the most important things that I did at the beginning.”
