They were Australian rugby league’s power couple – until a sex tape scandal came along and tackled them into touch.
Back in June, the Mail exclusively revealed that Dolphins fullback Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow and NRLW poster girl Jaime Chapman had split after an X-rated video emerged involving Tabuai-Fidow – also known as The Hammer- with another woman.
In the aftermath, the two athletes unfollowed each other on Instagram and deleted photos from their almost year-long romance from their respective accounts.
But in a twist few saw coming, reports circulated this week suggesting that Tabuai-Fidow and Chapman may have rekindled their romance.
Indeed, several clues on social media point to a thawing of relations.
They are now following each other again on Instagram, with Tabuai-Fidow, 24, wasting no time liking 23-year-old Chapman’s recent eye-popping bikini snaps.

But an insider close to the former couple insists there’s nothing romantic going on and, to quote Taylor Swift, they are never ever getting back together.
What they have rekindled, the source said, is a friendship, having agreed to put their differences aside ahead of the 2026 Harvey Norman All Stars game next weekend.
Chapman is confirmed for the Indigenous Women’s side.
The two of them ‘only want privacy’ as they move forward along different paths, added the insider.
This is understandable given some of the scandalous headlines that emerged following their very public split in June last year.
Neither Tabuai-Fidow nor Chapman would comment on the break-up at the time, but a source later revealed that an X-rated video was the catalyst.
The compromising clip, filmed by a young woman known to the Queensland State of Origin winger, showed her performing a sex act on him.
Tabuai-Fidow was clearly identifiable in the clip thanks to his tattoos, including a distinctive design of a crowned bear inked on his right thigh.

Our source told us the footage was taken on June 7, when Chapman was in camp preparing for the start of her NRLW season with the Gold Coast Titans.
Tabuai-Fidow and the woman had been partying at the Su Casa nightclub in Brisbane, with the venue’s stamp visible on her forearm in the footage.
They left the nightclub together and went back to the athlete’s house in Brisbane’s north, where they made the consensual sex tape.
Last month, the Mail revealed an unexpected postscript to the story: the nightclub temptress in question is now several months pregnant.
Not with The Hammer’s child – but with a similarly built, gym-honed gentleman.
