Investigators aren’t ruling out a ransom as Savannah Guthrie’s mom, Nancy Guthrie, remains missing.
When asked if anyone has received a ransom demand, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos told reporters at a press conference Tuesday, “We’re following all leads we have.”
“We are sharing all of our leads with the FBI,” he added.
Nancy, 84, has been missing since Sunday.
Police previously told Page Six that investigators believe Nancy was “taken from the home against her will, possibly in the middle of the night.”
“That includes possible kidnapping or abduction,” the spokesperson said.
Nancy was reported missing from her Tuscon-area home at around 11 a.m. Sunday after she didn’t show up to church.
Local authorities shared that she was last seen on Saturday at around 9:30 p.m. when she was dropped off at her Catalina Foothills home after having dinner with her family.
Savannah’s sister, Annie Guthrie, was the last person to see their mother before she disappeared.
Police are treating her disappearance as a crime. Authorities allegedly found blood outside of her home, though it’s unclear whose it was.
“We believe now, after we process that crime scene, that we do, in fact, have a crime scene, and we’re asking the community’s help,” Nanos said in a press conference Monday.
Nancy’s family told Savannah’s “Today” show co-hosts in a statement earlier this week: “We can confirm this is a missing persons case, and the family is working closely with local law enforcement.
“If anyone has any information, please contact the Pima County Sheriff’s Department at 520-351-4900. The family is grateful for the outreach, thoughts and prayers.”
Savannah’s husband, Michael Feldman, spoke out on the desperate search for Nancy Tuesday, exclusively telling Page Six that he doesn’t “have anything new to report.”
