Brooklyn Beckham isn’t holding back.
The eldest child of David and Victoria Beckham broke his silence on the family’s longstanding feud in a bombshell statement shared via his Instagram Stories Monday.
Among the surprising allegations in the post was Brooklyn’s claim that his mom “danced very inappropriately” on him during his wedding to Nicola Peltz in April 2022.
“My mum hijacked my first dance with my wife, which had been planned weeks in advance to a romantic love song,” Brooklyn, 26, wrote, confirming Page Six’s previous reporting on the matter.
“In front of our 500 wedding guests, Marc Anthony called me to the stage, where in the schedule was planned to be my romantic dance with my wife but instead my mum was waiting to dance with me.”
He added, “She danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone. I’ve never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life.”
Brooklyn went on to write that he and Nicola, 31, “wanted to renew our vows so we could create new memories of our wedding day that bring us joy and happiness” instead of “anxiety and embarrassment.”
The couple renewed their vows in an intimate ceremony at the Peltz family’s estate in Palm Beach, Florida, on Aug. 2, 2025. While the ceremony was officiated by Nicola’s father, neither of Brooklyn’s parents nor any of his siblings were there.
But Brooklyn’s claim that his mom “danced very inappropriately” on him during his and Nicola’s wedding wasn’t the only shocking claim he made in his lengthy statement on Monday.
After arguing that Nicola has been “consistently disrespected” by the Beckhams “no matter how hard we’ve tried to come together as one,” Brooklyn alleged that his mom regularly brought his ex-girlfriends around to make both him and Nicola “uncomfortable.”
“My mum has repeatedly invited women from my past into our lives in ways that were clearly intended to make us both uncomfortable,” he alleged.
Elsewhere in his post, Brooklyn claimed that Victoria, 51, “cancelled making Nicola’s [wedding] dress in the eleventh hour” and that both Victoria and David “repeatedly pressured and attempted to bribe” him into “signing away the rights to” his name ahead of his and Nicola’s wedding.
“My holdout affected the payday, and they have never treated me the same since,” Brooklyn wrote.
“During the wedding planning, my mum went so far as to call me ‘evil’ because Nicola and I chose to include my Nanny Sandra and Nicola’s Naunni at our table because they both didn’t have their husbands,” he added. “Both of our parents had their own tables equally adjacent to ours.”
As for David’s star-studded 50th birthday bash back in May, Brooklyn claimed that he and Nicola did not purposely skip it. Instead, they allegedly “travelled to London” for the party but were left “rejected for a week as we waited in our hotel room trying to plan quality time with him.”
Brooklyn alleged that the soccer legend “refused all of our attempts” to get together and that “when he finally agreed to see me” it was “under the condition that Nicola wasn’t invited.”
“It was a slap in the face,” Brooklyn recalled. “Later, when my family travelled to LA, they refused to see me at all.”
As for why Brooklyn chose to break his silence on the ongoing Beckham family feud now, he said that he’s “been silent for years” and “made every effort” to keep these matters private.
“Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed,” he explained.
“I do not want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.”
Brooklyn ended his post by arguing that “the narrative that my wife controls me is completely backwards” and that he’s “been controlled by my parents for most of my life.”
“I grew up with overwhelming anxiety. For the first time in my life, since stepping away from my family, that anxiety has disappeared. I wake up every morning grateful for the life I chose, and have found peace and relief,” he explained.
“My wife and I do not want a life shaped by image, press, or manipulation. All we want [is] peace, privacy and happiness for us and our future family.”
Reps for David and Victoria did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
While rumors of tension have surrounded the Beckham family ever since Brooklyn and Nicola tied the knot almost four years ago, they ramped up last year.
Brooklyn warned his parents to only contact him via lawyers earlier this month, and a source told Page Six that Brooklyn made that surprising decision “after [his] constant attempts to set boundaries had been ignored.”
Another insider told Page Six that “Nicola will always support his decisions” and “if one day Brooklyn wants to see his family, Nicola will support him.”
