Former teen actor Matt Prokop was reportedly arrested and is currently being held without bail following multiple charges, including alleged possession of child pornography.
The “High School Musical 3: Senior Year” star was arrested and taken into custody on Dec. 24, 2025, in Victoria County, Texas, according to TMZ.
Local law enforcement confirmed he remains in the county jail and is also facing a charge of resisting arrest, as well as two counts of resisting arrest, search or transportation.
The former Disney child actor’s arrest reportedly stems from a violation of bond conditions tied to a May 2024 arrest in which Prokop was charged with aggravated assault and resisting arrest, according to local outlet Crossroads Today.
At this time, it remains unclear when he will appear in court.
Prokop, 35, didn’t immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
Prokop’s arrest follows allegations of abuse from his ex-girlfriend, “Modern Family” star Sarah Hyland, who accused him of verbal and physical abuse during their five-year relationship.
In May 2014, she claimed that he slammed her into a vehicle and choked her during an argument, according to court filings obtained by Page Six.
After Hyland and Prokop split, he allegedly threatened to kill her dog and burn down her house.
She later secured a restraining order against him, and he was ordered to stay away from the actress for three years.
Aside from his role in “High School Musical 3” and a guest appearance in “Modern Family,” Prokop appeared in 2010’s “Furry Vengeance,” 2011’s “Cougar Hunting,” and 2012’s “Struck by Lightening.”
