Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are spending a “cozy” Christmas in California.
The Duchess of Sussex broke down how she celebrated the holiday with her husband and their children — Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4 — in an As Ever newsletter.
On Thursday, the “Suits” alum, 44, reflected on the “Christmas Eve feast” of dim sum her family ate the previous evening.
She and Harry, 41, subsequently spent Wednesday night “wrapping a few last minute gifts and tip toe-ing down the stairs” to make “sure ‘Santa’ had enjoyed his cookies and ‘the reindeer’ had eaten their carrots.”
The former actress wrote that they would do “anything to maintain the morning magic of Christmas through [their] children’s eyes.”
Markle noted that that her plans for Christmas Day were to spend the day “cuddled” with Harry and the little ones.
She told readers the festivities would include “pajamas all day, some Scrabble or Sequence (or Candyland for the kids), music playing, candles flickering, dogs snoring, endless grazing; the laughter, the sidebars, the deep breaths (you know the ones), the fun, and the memories.”
The “With Love, Meghan” star concluded, “I hope that whether you’re cozied up in your pajamas like we are, or dressed to the nines, whether you’re with a huge gathering, with your partner, your kids, or on your own — wherever you happen to find yourself today reading this note — that you know I am wishing you a very Merry Christmas, and all the blessings that come with it.”
While Meghan, Harry, Archie and Lilibet spent the holiday in their Montecito, Calif., home, the rest of the royal family had their customary celebrations across the pond.
King Charles III, Prince William and the rest of the royals attended their traditional church service at Sandringham on Thursday and were all smiles greeting crowds.
Disgraced Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was absent, but his daughters, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, were in attendance.
Harry and Meghan have not been present for a Sandringham Christmas service since 2018.
