Andy Dick suffered from an apparent overdose after he was found unresponsive on the street.
The comedian was slumped over on the cement stairs of a building in Hollywood on Tuesday, according to photos obtained by TMZ.
In one snap, Dick, who was dressed in a tan jacket, black tee, plaid pajama pants and black Crocs, was bent over as his glasses lay on the ground in front of him. In another photo, the actor was lying flat on the concrete as someone stood over him.
Eyewitnesses told the outlet several of Dick’s pals ran over to him and attempted to revive him. One of the “NewsRadio” alum’s friends reportedly screamed at Dick to “wake up” as others called an ambulance.
TMZ reported that a bystander shouted for someone nearby to grab Narcan, a life-saving medication that quickly reverses opioid overdoses, and Dick was administered the shot.
A rep for the Los Angeles Fire Department told the outlet that they responded to the location for an overdose involving a 59-year-old male, who was not transported to the hospital.
Dick, 59, spoke to TMZ by phone Tuesday night, telling the outlet that he was alive and okay. He would not disclose exactly what happened.
Page Six has reached out to Dick’s rep and the LAPD for comment but did not immediately hear back.
The former “Andy Dick Show” star has a long history of drug and alcohol abuse.
He has also faced several run-ins with the law, including allegations of sexual misconduct and arrests.
In 2022, Dick was ordered to register as a sex offender after being convicted of sexual battery in 2018.
At the time, an Uber driver accused Dick of groping him and the former TV star was sentenced to 90 days in jail.
