Let’s hope Jennifer Lopez didn’t outshine the bride.
The singer was paid $2 million to perform at an Indian billionaire’s wedding last weekend, though she seems to have already spent some of her earnings on a massive emerald necklace.
Now that the festivities of the four-day nuptials are over, Lopez’s stylist, Mariel Haenn, shared some official photos of one of her looks, including a crystal-studded gown and a jaw-dropping jewelry suite full of precious gems.
The traditional gown, designed by Manish Malhotra, is strapless and covered in a crystal lattice beading. It featured a corset-style top with a skirt that dripped down her frame, pooling at her feet with additional embellishments.
The saree also included a sheer, embellished shawl.
Her jewelry, however, was even more dazzling than her dress.
Designed by Manish Malhotra as well, J.Lo’s jewelry included an impressive three-tiered emerald bib necklace, matching drop earrings and a traditional tikka in her center-parted hair.
The necklace, named the Maharani Necklace, featured more than 168 carats of emeralds and took over 1,800 hours to craft.
Additionally, Lopez’s accessories included palm cuffs, a diamond bangle and a selection of rings.
During the festivities, she wore bedazzled and cutout leather bodysuits to perform some of her top hits, like “Get Right” and “Waiting For Tonight.”
Lopez is known for her dramatically embellished looks, both on and off stage. But for this billionaire’s wedding, she took it to the next level, going over the top for this special celebration with a look that will be as memorable as the night itself.
