Singer Courtney Love reveals she’s becoming British due to ‘terrifying’ Trump administration.
Courtney Love, the iconic 60-year-old frontwoman of the band Hole, has announced her intention to become a British citizen, joining a growing list of celebrities seeking refuge in the UK following Donald Trump‘s return to power in the United States.
Speaking at London’s prestigious Royal Geographical Society, Love openly criticised the Trump presidency, describing the current atmosphere in the US as ‘frightening’ and likening it to ’emperor-core,’ a lavish and alarming spectacle reminiscent of historical excesses.
“I’m really glad I’m here,” Love shared enthusiastically. “It’s amazing living in the UK. I’m finally getting my British citizenship in six months. You can’t get rid of me now!”

Home Office data reflects this trend, showing a significant rise in citizenship applications from US citizens—over 6,100 last year alone, marking a record-breaking 40% increase compared to previous years.
