Former President Barack Obama attended Wednesday’s Los Angeles Clippers vs. Detroit Pistons game without his wife, Michelle Obama, as she continues to stay under the radar.
The politician, 63, was photographed sitting courtside at Intuit Dome in Inglewood, Calif., between Clippers owner Steve Ballmer and his wife, Connie Snyder.
During the game, announcers called Barack’s presence to attention as he immediately jumped out of his seat and waved at those cheering for him, as seen in a video shared on X.
At another point, Clippers coach Tyronn Lue came over to greet Barack as they shook hands. Lue also gifted the 44th POTUS a jersey with “Obama” and “44” on the back.
For the outing, the lawyer wore a black turtleneck and matching slacks under a blue and red jacket, proudly showing off his preference for the Clippers.
He also made sure to keep his wedding band in plain sight amid rumors of marital strife with Michelle.
Over the past few months, the Obamas’ marriage has come under scrutiny after the former first lady, 61, retreated from the limelight.
The rumors kicked off in early January when Michelle missed former President Jimmy Carter’s funeral, which her husband attended.
She also skipped President Trump’s inauguration on Jan. 9, with sources telling Page Six exclusively at the time that her decision was “deliberate,” as she has been vocal about her opposition to the “Apprentice” alum’s policies.
“She’s never been fake, and she’s never been phony. She’s always been very deliberate about where and how she shows up,” one insider told us.
“She showed up reluctantly for the election. They were united, but she doesn’t have to unify around [Trump]. She doesn’t have to say anything. Her absence speaks volumes.”
Barack was ultimately seen attending the inauguration by himself and enjoying a dinner in Washington, DC, with a small group of friends.
Amid rumors that Michelle’s absence meant trouble in paradise, the longtime couple shared sweet Valentine’s Day posts.
An insider also told us that Michelle has simply “checked out” of DC life after leaving the White House in 2017.
The couple — who share daughters Malia, 26, and Sasha, 23 — were last spotted together in Los Angeles in December.
