Chum Darang, a contestant on Bigg Boss 18, recently made an interesting revelation about her professional life. During her recent appearance on a podcast with Small Talk with Koko, Chum revealed that she was initially finalised for a role in the popular The Family Man 3, which features Manoj Bajpayee as the protagonist, but she couldn’t take up the show.
Reason? Chum was a participant in Bigg Boss 18, and hence, had no choice but to turn down the offer to be a part of the series. While talking about her decision on the podcast, Chum said, “Yes, I was in Family Man 3 but I left it for Bigg Boss. I actually felt I won’t be able to survive inside Bigg Boss for too long. I know it takes a lot to survive inside and the journey is not going to be easy.”
While talking about her Bigg Boss journey, Chum also explained that she had initially thought that she would survive in the controversial house for about three weeks. But such was her game strategy that she ended up being in the house for three months. She expressed her love and gratitude for the unforgettable Bigg Boss experience. While making another shocking revelation, Chum shared that she got a role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi in the most unanticipated manner. She was visiting her brother’s house in Delhi with her grandmother. Chum’s elderly grandmother helped her record an audition video. Chum absolutely nailed her audition, and next thing she knows, she’s getting a call from Bhansali’s office. Initially, her friend thought it was some kind of prank. But Chum quickly realized it was the real deal. She admitted feeling a little intimidated by Bhansali’s perfectionism and revealed that the filmmaker picked out the colors for each character’s costume himself.
