The drama on Married At First Sight reached new heights when Veronica Cloherty decided to take matters into her own hands.
During Monday’s episode, the bride confronted Eliot Donovan’s ex-‘wife’ Lauren Hall in a tense and brutally honest conversation.
Concerned about the cracks forming in her relationship with Eliot, Veronica sought insight from the one woman who had firsthand experience with him – Lauren.
And what she uncovered was far from reassuring.
Bringing along a cheeky peace offering – margaritas, Lauren’s drink of choice – Veronica wasted no time getting to the point.
‘I really don’t feel like I know the real Eliot,’ she admitted. ‘That’s actually part of the reason why I’ve come here.’

Lauren, who had already been through the emotional roller-coaster with Eliot, didn’t hold back.
‘When I met you at the dinner, I was like, you’re awesome, but I feel so sorry for you,’ she told Veronica bluntly. ‘He’s just so full of sh*t.’
Lauren then doubled down, branding Eliot ‘as shallow as a pond in a desert’ and suggesting Veronica should get out while she still could.
As the conversation turned darker, Lauren shared her belief that Eliot displayed narcissistic tendencies, drawing from her own experience and a close friend’s toxic relationship.
‘Narcissists don’t actually have real feelings,’ she said, adding, ‘I do feel like Eliot is a narcissist, and you’re going to find out very quickly.’
While Veronica had already noticed some red flags, hearing Lauren’s raw account left her shaken.
‘It is really disheartening to hear that insight into Eliot,’ she admitted. ‘I don’t feel good.’
As Veronica grappled with the bombshell revelations, the other couples were put to the test with the infamous photo ranking challenge.

Controversial exes Lauren and Eliot returned as intruders earlier this month.
As previously revealed by Daily Mail Australia, Hall was paired with professional golfer Clint Rice, while Eliot will be matched with Veronica.
Insiders have revealed that cast and crew were blindsided when Eliot suddenly reappeared on set, arriving late to a dinner party and leaving jaws on the floor.
‘It was like the ultimate plot twist,’ a source close to production said.
‘Lauren and Clint had just started to get comfortable with each other when Eliot showed up out of nowhere. The look on Lauren’s face was priceless – she was completely gobsmacked. And Clint? He was not impressed at all.’
‘Lauren’s new groom Clint let Eliot absolutely have it,’ they added.
Eliot’s dramatic return came after his abrupt exit from the experiment just days after his wedding to Lauren, saying he wanted someone younger and less materialistic.
His departure angered viewers, with many questioning his motives for signing up in the first place.

Eliot was reportedly offered a lucrative five-figure sum to rejoin the show, with insiders claiming producers were desperate to shake things up mid-season.
‘Eliot feels like he was misunderstood,’ a well-placed source dished.
‘He’s back to clear his name, but he’s not apologetic about his behaviour.
‘He and Lauren were a complete mismatch and he hasn’t changed his mind about wanting out of their romance.’
