Kimberly Guilfoyle didn’t let her split from Donald Trump Jr. keep her away from Donald Trump’s presidential inauguration.
Guilfoyle, 55, attended the swearing in ceremony on Monday, January 20, which took place inside the Capitol Rotunda in Washington D.C. due to the cold weather. She did not sit with the Trump family. Trump Jr., 47, sat with his loved ones, which included siblings Eric, Ivanka, Tiffany and Barron plus his new girlfriend, Bettina Anderson.
In addition to the inauguration, Trump Jr. and Anderson attended several events leading up to the big political day. The couple were spotted at the Friday, January 17, fireworks ceremony at Trump National Golf Club in Washington, D.C. and the Inauguration Eve candlelight dinner at the National Building Museum on Sunday, January 19.
Guilfoyle, for her part, was also at the events, as she has been nominated to be the U.S. ambassador to Greece.
The inauguration was Trump Jr. and Anderson’s first official public appearance as a couple since they were initially linked in December 2024. The twosome were spotted getting cozy while out and about in Palm Beach. At the time, Trump Jr. and Guilfoyle, who got engaged in December 2020, had not publicly confirmed their split.
After Trump Jr. and Anderson’s relationship made headlines, Us Weekly confirmed that the businessman and Guilfoyle called it quits a few months earlier.
“Don and Kimberly broke up before the election and started to divide assets around the end of September,” a source exclusively told Us in December 2024, adding that the pair “never discussed” their breakup publicly to avoid detracting from other “important issues.”
The insider also claimed that Trump Jr. ended the relationship, but that “the breakup was amicable.”
Shortly after news of their split broke, Trump Jr. publicly addressed the breakup and subsequently congratulated Guilfoyle on her upcoming role in his father’s administration.
“Kimberly and I will never stop caring for each other and will always keep a special bond,” he said in a December 2024 statement to Page Six. “I could not be more proud of her and the important role she’ll continue to play [as U.S. ambassador to Greece.]”
Trump Jr continued: “She’s been an undefeated prosecutor, national TV news star, a leader of the MAGA movement and close advisor to the president. The people of Greece are getting an absolute star and now the whole world will see it more than ever.”
An additional source later told Us that Trump Jr.’s connection to Anderson is “different” compared to his previous relationship with Guilfoyle
“When it comes to his relationship with Bettina it’s just about them,” the insider explained. “He wants a partner. She doesn’t need anything from him and just wants to be with him.”
