The 78th Emmy Awards, hosted by four-time Emmy winner Mariska Hargitay, will air live on Sept. 14 at 5 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET on NBC, available to livestream via DirecTV (with a five-day free trial), Fubo (with a five-day free trial), Sling and Hulu + Live TV.
The awards show will also be simulcast on Peacock, and while the service doesn’t offer a free trial of its own, viewers can claim two complimentary months of Peacock with any of DirecTV’s Signature packages, which offer the aforementioned five-day free trial period.
As for E!’s annual red carpet coverage, Live From E!: Countdown to the 2026 Emmys begins at 2 p.m. PT/5 p.m. ET, similarly available to stream live via DirecTV, Fubo, Sling and Hulu + Live TV.

The 2026 awards show will air live on Monday, Sept. 14 at 5 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET, scheduled to run for three hours (until 8 p.m. PT/11 p.m. ET), on NBC.
Where to Stream the Emmys 2026 Live Online Free
Since this year’s Emmy Awards air on NBC, the event will also be available to watch live on any streaming service that carries said network, including DirecTV (with a five-day free trial), Fubo (with a five-day free trial), Sling and Hulu + Live TV.
The awards show will also be available to stream live on Peacock, and while the streamer doesn’t offer a free trial directly, fans can get two months of free Peacock access (thanks to a limited-time promo) through any of DirecTV’s Signature packages, which also offer the standard five-day free trial.

For another savvy streaming hack, a subscription to Peacock is available through Prime Video and unlike direct subscriptions on PeacockTV.com, Peacock on Prime Video offers a seven-day trial period for the Premium Plus plan. Following the trial, unless cancelled at any time, the subscription will continue at the standard rate.
