Victoria Beckham thanked her children while accepting a prestigious honor from the French Ministry of Culture, as her rift with her eldest son, Brooklyn Beckham, rages on.
After the former Spice Girls singer was knighted Monday, she stood at the podium as her husband, David Beckham, and their three youngest kids, Romeo, 23, Cruz, 20, and Harper, 14, watched from the audience.
“Thank you, my parents, and to my children for always believing in my vision,” she said, per a video obtained by the Daily Mail.
Elsewhere in the speech, Victoria, 51, thanked the French Ministry of Culture and the Minister of Culture, Madame Rachida Dati, for “this honor.”
“I am extremely grateful,” the “Wannabe” singer added.
“I am so proud to be British, but France is one of the few places where fashion is treated with the seriousness it deserves as a form of art,” she added.
Page Six has reached out to Brooklyn’s rep for comment but did not immediately hear back.
Victoria’s mention of her children came more than a week after Brooklyn, 26, broke his silence regarding his estrangement from his famous family.
In a lengthy post on his Instagram Stories, the former photographer declared that he did not want to “reconcile with [his] family.”
Brooklyn also claimed his parents, Victoria and David, tried to “ruin” his relationship with his now-wife, Nicola Peltz.
“My mum cancelled making Nicola’s dress in the eleventh hour despite how excited she was to wear her design, forcing her to urgently find a new dress,” he wrote.
The aspiring chef also claimed his mom “hijacked” his first dance with the “Bates Motel” actress, 31, during their nuptials.
“She danced very inappropriately on me in front of everybody. I’ve never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life,” Brooklyn claimed.
While the pop star and the former soccer pro, 50, have not spoken out directly about their son’s claims, several people who attended Peltz and Brooklyn’s April 2022 wedding have.
DJ Fat Tony, who performed at the couple’s Florida nuptials, deejayed their welcome party the night before and brunch the following day.
During an appearance on the UK’s “This Morning” last week, Tony, 60, described the brunch as “the most awkward part” of the three-day affair because “everything that had gone on on the actual wedding night was discussed amongst all the guests the next morning.”
Despite the drama, David and Victoria have continued to put on a united front with their other three kids.
