Sumeta Afzal Syed, spokesperson of PPP and a member of the Sindh Task Force, is not happy with Dhurandhar. Read on to know what she posted on X.

Ranveer Singh’s latest spy-thriller, Dhurandhar, continues to smash several Box Office records. Amid its massive Box Office success, a political controversy has emerged after a senior Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) representative accused the film of using photos of Pakistan’s former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto ‘unlawfully’. Sumeta also mentioned that the film misrepresented the PPP’s take on terrorism.

Misusing Benazir Bhutto’s images without permission?

Sumeta Afzal Syed, spokesperson of PPP and a member of the Sindh Task Force, was quick to take to X to slam the film. “The newly released Indian film Dhurandar has unlawfully used images of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto and disgracefully attempted to portray the PPP as sympathetic to terrorists,” she said. She also stated that Pakistani authorities should take cognisance of what the film tries to do. “The PPP has been a frontline victim of terrorism and has always stood and will always stand as the strongest force against extremism,” Syed added in her post.
