The former couple have faced accusations their breakup was a ‘publicity stunt’ after they were filmed sharing a passionate kiss on New Year’s Eve

In Molly’s doc Behind It All, she revealed the couple are working through their problems following Tommy’s shock confession that he became ‘addicted to alcohol’

Tommy said: ‘A lot of people see me in the ring, they see me on social media, but they don’t see ME – the person behind all of that.

‘I’m excited for everyone to finally be able to see what goes on behind the scenes, how the big fights are made, all the ups and downs as well as a glimpse into my private life.’

The former couple have faced accusations their breakup was a ‘publicity stunt’ after they were filmed sharing a passionate kiss on New Year’s Eve ahead of the launch of her three-part Prime Video series.

Molly previously said her biggest ‘frustration’ was having their breakup questioned by skeptics when there was a lot more happening behind the scenes.

Speaking at The Londoner Hotel in January ahead of the release of Behind It All, Molly said: ‘I actually say in the documentary that I wish it was a publicity stunt because it would have been a lot easier… That for me above everything has been the most frustrating part.

‘Because going through all of this with the turmoil of a breakup has been incredibly hard.

‘To have those comments and I do see the comments, I see all of them, and people saying ‘this has obviously just been done for the launch of her brand or a publicity stunt’ that is very painful to read because it’s real life.

‘Tommy and I have a baby together and it’s very, very real. It’s a really hard thing that we have both gone through the past six months.

‘I wish it was a publicity stunt because it would have been a lot easier, but it isn’t, and I think this documentary will clear up any questions of that.

‘You see the real side to it; it’s like you’re a fly on the wall and I think people will be quite surprised by how honest we have been.’

Tommy admitted to becoming dependent on alcohol following a boxing injury, resulting in the drastic decline of his mental health.

Speaking to Men’s Health, he said: ‘The reason why me and Molly broke up was because I got addicted to alcohol and I couldn’t be the partner that I wanted to be anymore.’

‘It kills me to say it but it’s true, I couldn’t. I loved a pint of beer, loved to drink, and it is what it is. People go through difficult things in life and we all have our crosses to bear. I’ve got mine to bear.’

Tommy has also been pictured leaving Molly’s Cheshire home early in the morning, sparking reports the pair have rekindled their relationship.

It was also reported the couple spent the morning of Valentine’s Day together as Tommy was seen leaving her home.

Pictures obtained by The Sun showed Tommy driving his luxury Mercedes 4×4 out of the home he used to share with Molly.

Since their separation, the couple have been co-parenting their daughter Bambi, two, and Tommy is often seen visiting Molly’s home to see the toddler.

In recent weeks, he has been seen at the property more frequently.

Molly recently hit back at critics of her relationship with Tommy following reports that her family is ‘horrified’ at reports she has ‘reunited’ with her ex-fiancé.

Amid the speculation, Molly told MailOnline: ‘What others think about my relationship is not my concern.’

A representative for the star continued: ‘At this current time Molly is focusing on what’s best for herself and her daughter whilst co-parenting…

‘Others’ opinion on her relationship is not her focus or her concern. Only she knows how she feels.’

The Love Island lovebirds fell for each other when they met on the fifth series of the ITV show in 2019, but Molly-Mae announced their romance was over in August.

In Molly’s recent documentary Behind It All, both her mother Debbie Gordon and sister Zoe Rae gave their thoughts on the break-up.

In a conversation with her sister Zoe, Molly candidly admitted ‘all she wants in this life is to be with him and have another baby’ so they can ‘grow old as a family’.

She said: ‘I do feel like I could burst into tears today, it is mainly Tommy. It is just thing after thing at the minute.

‘He’s now sent me a text saying, “we are just going round and round in circles and not moving forward,”‘ to which Zoe replied: ‘That is why you are sad.’

Molly admitted to the camera: ‘Up until now I had the mindset of we will end up back together one day, but right now we need to be apart and he needs to work on himself. But how it is looking this week is we are actually just done. It is exhausting.’

Zoe told her: ‘If you don’t draw a line in the sand it will carry on being exhausting for the next five years.’

Molly quipped: ‘But I don’t want to because I don’t want to end it. I knew we were going to get back together.’

Zoe said: ‘Surely you didn’t,’ to which Molly replied: ‘No, I did. Why do you think I haven’t cried. All I want in this life is to be with him and to have another baby with him and grow old as a family, and to live in a nice house together and to have a nice life together.’

Elsewhere in the documentary, Molly’s mother Debbie said: ‘I’m very fond of Tommy.

They have not confirmed that they are back together but in the Maebe owner’s documentary Behind It All she shared that her ultimate goal was for them to reunite as a family

In Molly-Mae’s recent documentary Behind It All, both her mother Debbie Gordon and sister Zoe Rae (all pictured) gave their thoughts on the break-up

‘He looked after Molly, made her laugh, treated her well for a long time. That outweighed the not so great stuff going on.

‘She was going to through the turmoil of a break up and the heartbreak but moving forward she wouldn’t have endlessly nights worrying.’

As Molly spoke about Tommy’s alcohol use, Debbie told her: ‘Can I be honest? Over the years there were so many occasions that I witnessed myself that made me beyond worried for you.’

Tommy: The Good. The Bad. The Fury. will debut on BBC Three and iPlayer later this year.
