Lalita Pawar made her acting career as a child in the silent era, with the film Ganimi Kawa (1928). She rose to fame at the age of 17 with the film Chatur Sundari. Following her success, she gained recognition for her looks in Daivi Khazana.
One tragic incident
Later, the actress gained a lot of offers from renowned Hindi film producers, but suffered an injury in 1942 while filming the movie Jang-e-Azadi. During the shooting, Bhagwan Dada slapped her so hard that she suffered an injury in her left eye.
Caused facial paralysis
The incident took a tragic turn in her career that caused her facial paralysis and a squint in her left eye. Following the tragic incident, Lalita Pawar took a break from films as she was recovering from it.
