A group of fan-favorite children’s characters are coming together for a new clothing line that celebrates fashion, friendship and fandom.
The Powerpuff Girls x Sanrio collection features apparel, accessories and home goods inspired by the trio of colorful superheroes, as well as the one and only Hello Kitty and her friends. An officially licensed collaboration from Warner Bros. Global Consumer Products and Sanrio, the new collection ties into the nostalgia trend that has spawned re-releases and new product drops alike, from IP like Disney princesses and Hannah Montana, to the recent Devil Wears Prada sequel.
The Powerpuff Girls and Hello Kitty collab is available to shop online now at JCPenney.com, with pieces for both girls, juniors and women. Here’s a look at some of our favorite pieces from the collection.
Oversized Graphic T-Shirt
This cotton blend T-shirt features a trendy oversized fit with the characters embroidered on the front and the “Hello Kitty and Friends” and “Powerpuff Girls” logos embroidered on the sleeve. Choose from sizes XS to XXL.
Short Sleeve Soccer Jersey
Just in time for the World Cup, fans of soccer (and classic series) can pick up this soccer jersey, which features Cinnamoroll and Bubbles on the front, with sports-inspired blue and white striping. This v-neck jersey comes with matching shorts which you can find here.
Fleece Bomber Jacket
This zip-up bomber is made from a cozy fleece material and features all the characters spread out along the sleeves. An embroidered bow sits on the front, while the back of the jacket features the words “Super Cute” in embroidered silver stitching, along with the collaborative logos.
Fitted Tube Top
This strapless top features illustrations of Hello Kitty and the Girls set against a racing-inspired checkered backdrop. The tube top is made from a cotton jersey material with a hint of stretch. Wear it with shorts, jeans, dresses or with the matching skort from the collab (as seen on the model above).
Short Sleeve Baseball Jersey
You can also pick up this bright green and black baseball jersey, featuring the faces of Buttercup and Kuromi on the front and a “Buttercup Loves Kuromi” graphic on the back. This is a classic v-neck jersey, with a button front closure and tailored fit. Like all the items above, this Sanrio x Powerpuff Girls piece is available in XS to XXL though sizes are selling through quickly.
Mini Backpack
And you can pick up this official Hello Kitty x The Powerpuff Girls backpack, in a bright pink (natch). The beloved characters feature prominently throughout the bag, which measures approximately 8 x 10.5 inches in size.
There’s a front zippered pocket for storing things like your phone, wallet and accessories, and a larger main compartment which zips shut to protect your tablet, books and more. Note: the pink pom pom and front charms are included as part of this release.

The new collection comes on the heels of Hello Kitty’s 50th anniversary celebrations in 2024. The Powerpuff Girls, meantime ran for six seasons on the cartoon network, quickly becoming one of the network’s most popular shows. Nostalgia and demand for the female crime-fighters led to an animated revival in 2016, along with plans for a live-action reboot that was ultimately shelved. You can currently watch all six seasons of the original animated series on Prime Video.
