The Beach Boys member Brian Wilson has died, his family revealed Wednesday.
The singer was 82 years old.
“We are heartbroken to announce that our beloved father Brian Wilson has passed away,” the musician’s loved ones wrote via Instagram.
“We are at a loss for words right now,” the statement continued. “Please respect our privacy at this time as our family is grieving.
They concluded by acknowledging, “We realize that we are sharing our grief with the world. Love & Mercy.”
The social media upload included a smiling outdoor snap, featuring Wilson sitting on a park bench in an orange polo, black shorts and sneakers.
