Teresa Giudice is having a tough time as a parent.
After an intense clash with her daughters at the Tampa International Airport in Florida on Wednesday, Page Six has exclusively learned the toll it has taken on the 54-year-old mother of four.
“Teresa just doesn’t know what to do,” a source close to the family said following the heated encounter with Milania, 20, and Gia, 25, that was captured on video. “She’s in a hard position. Her family has been very worried about [Milania].”
In the video, Milania is heard asking her mom and sister, “This is what we do now? This is what we do now?”
Teresa responded immediately, telling her daughter multiple times, “I love you,” as officers stood nearby.
According to an incident report obtained by Page Six, Milania was experiencing suicidal thoughts and had disappeared from her mom and sister after being released from a hospital nearby. She was eventually found and boarded a plane with her family.
The Tampa International Airport Police Department confirmed to Page Six that a call was made at 2:20 p.m. but no arrests were made, nor was medical transport required.
Another source told Page Six reflected on how much Teresa adores Milania, which makes the most recent incident “heartbreaking.”
“Teresa’s like a great mom,” the insider said. “She’s calm. She’s cool. She’s supportive, despite all the millions of hours she’s had to work and all the money she brings in. She’s such a good mom to those girls.”
A rep for Milania told Page Six, “Milania is deeply loved by her family and friends, and all of us are doing everything we can to support her as she navigates an incredibly difficult time in her life, particularly following the devastating loss of her best friend, Victoria.
“She is currently surrounded by people who love her and is under the care of professionals who are working with her and her family.”
The statement continued that Milania is a “good-hearted and caring young woman who has been going through a very challenging period.”
Her rep ended, “…Our focus right now is simply on her health, healing and well-being. In time, she hopes that being open about her experiences may help other young people facing their own struggles, but for now, we ask for compassion and privacy as she and her family continue to navigate this together.”
This isn’t the first time Milania has had a run-in with law enforcement this year.
On May 14, she was arrested for domestic violence and simple assault after she allegedly struck and caused bodily harm to an individual with the initials “LR.” She entered a not guilty plea and enrolled in anger management classes.
Another source close to the family said that Milania has had her own rough waters to navigate lately.
The insider pointed to Milania losing her best friend Victoria Zardoya to an accident in July, her father living in the Bahamas and growing up in the spotlight as contributing factors.
Despite Milania’s recent struggles, Joe Giudice, 56, who has not been back to the United States after being deported in Oct. 2019, told Page Six he has his daughter’s back.
“Milania is a good girl. She has a big heart, she loves deeply, and she cares enormously about the people in her life. She is also young and going through a very difficult period right now,” Joe said through his rep at Dominton Talent House.
“The loss of her close friend Victoria in July affected Milania tremendously. Losing someone you love is incredibly painful, and grief does not have a timeline. She has been trying to process that loss while also dealing with the pressures that come with growing up in the public eye.”
He continued, “As her father, my priority is making sure my daughter knows that she is loved and supported. Our family is doing everything we can to be there for her and give her the support and space she needs right now.”
Joe went on to ask for compassion for Milania and to reserve judgment, and to “remember that you do not know everything someone may be carrying behind closed doors.”
“She deserves love, understanding and privacy as she works through everything she has been experiencing.”
“I love my daughter, and I will always stand beside her.”
