Ciara Miller addressed the now-viral photo of her crying in front of a New York Hermés storefront amid the bombshell news of Amanda Batula and West Wilson’s romance.
“I was supposed to be meeting my friend at Pastis, and it’s 12:45, and I’m like, ‘I cannot be sitting at this lunch while I’m reading this f–king statement,’” the “Summer House” star said in recent comments to Glamour’s Hunter Harris via Substack, noting that she felt she would “lose [her] f–king mind.’”
She added, “My manager was down the street and came and met up with me.” Miller divulged that she was on the phone with co-star Paige DeSorbo “for a while.”
The reality star was spotted on March 31, slumped on the sidewalk outside the luxury boutique, seemingly devastated after co-stars Batula and West shared a joint statement on their emerging relationship.
“And I was like, ‘I don’t even know what the f–k to do. I’m in public,’” Miller said. “I was going to go home, and then, honestly, the photo was snapped faster than I could even make it home.”
Miller quipped that it was “chic” of her to have been photographed outside the luxury boutique as she processed the news.
“I was like, ‘How chic of it to be Hermès in between Hermès and Bruno Cucinelli,” she joked. “It’s honestly just so funny. I didn’t mean for it to be right outside of Hermès, but chic nonetheless, I have to say.”
That day, Wilson — who previously dated Miller in 2023 — and Batula, who was close friends with Miller, dropped their romance bombshell in a social media statement that immediately went viral.
“We’ve seen the growing online speculation, so while this is still very new, we wanted to provide some clarity,” they shared via Instagram Stories.
“It was never our intention to purposely hide anything. Given the complicated relationship dynamics involved and the scrutiny that comes with being on a reality show, we needed a little space to process things privately before speaking on it.”
The pair noted that the relationship was “the last thing either of us expected” and said their “connection grew out of a genuine, longstanding friendship.”
“As our feelings evolved, we wanted to take time to understand exactly what we were feeling,” they said. “We also recognize that this has had an impact beyond just us and never wanted our actions to cause any hurt or be perceived as careless.”
The couple concluded the statement, “We truly appreciate the understanding and respect as we navigate this.”
Miller has unfollowed both Batula and Wilson on Instagram, and a source told Page Six that “Summer House” personalities — including Batula’s ex -husband, Kyle Cooke — were allegedly “pissed” at and “disappointed” by them.
Miller noted in a Glamour profile published on Friday that she found out about Batula and Wilson’s romance “with the rest of the world.”
“There’s something about the lack of being able to say each other’s names in the statement that I found very telling, but I don’t know,” she told the outlet, noting that she found out “less than 24 hours” before the statement was posted.
In the hours after the announcement, Miller took a pointed swipe at the pair with a clip of herself interviewing cast members from “Your Friends & Neighbors.”
“If you can’t trust your Friends & Neighbors, who can you trust?” she captioned the clip, in which she told star John Hamm that she’s “been better.”
West and Batula, meanwhile, appear unaffected — the couple was spotted cozying up during a PDA-filled date night at Yankee Stadium on Friday evening.
