Singer Brooke Josephson has announced she is divorcing her husband, Bones executive producer Barry Josephson, after his name surfaced in the Jeffrey Epstein files.
Brooke, 46, wed Barry 69, in 2007 and the former couple share two children. They separated in December 2024.
‘Barry Josephson and I are going through a divorce,’ Brooke confirmed in an Instagram post on Saturday, days after the release of communications by the Justice Department January 30 between her ex and the late convicted sex offender.
The musician said she was ‘prepared to share a personal update … in light of recent events in the news this week,’ adding that she ‘was not aware of Barry’s relationship with Jeffrey Epstein during [their] entire marriage.’
Brooke added, ‘I respectfully request privacy and prayers for our children and I during this time.’
She concluded the message in thanking ‘all who have shown compassion and respect’ amid the turbulent time.
Daily Mail has reached out to both parties for further comment on the story.

Recent releases of documents in the Epstein case uncovered frequent communication between Epstein and Barry Josephson, with women and money among the topics frequently discussed.
The exchanges came years after Epstein pleaded guilty to solicitation of prostitution and of solicitation of prostitution with a minor under the age of 18 in 2008.
Communications gleaned from the release of the files revealed a February 2011 exchange in which Epstein asked Josephson if he could set him up with some ‘amazing women’ in their early 20s in New York City.
Josephson responded: ‘I have “the” girl,’ adding, ‘Young, attractive, insane rack.’
Josephson said the woman had been ‘smart, although not a genius, but very efficient, will do anything, and tight lipped period end of story.’
In a February 2013 exchange, Barry told Epstein, ‘Casting girls for my pilot on Monday if he wants to stop by my office :).
When Epstein requested in vain that specific women get cast on shows Barry produced, according to the docs, Barry told Epstein he would ‘do anything to make amends’ when he wasn’t able to use his clout to make it happen.
‘The whole auditioning process is brutal, it’s harsh, it’s filled with disappointment,’ Barry explained to Epstein, noting it was even a difficult task to get his then-spouse Brooke a small role on Bones in 2007.

Barry had also borrowed from Epstein sums of $120,000 in 2011, and $215,000 in 2013, both of which were repaid, according to information gleaned from the documents.
After evening up on the second loan, Barry told Epstein, ‘I am overwhelmed by your friendship.’
Barry told Variety earlier this month of Epstein, ‘I knew nothing about him. You learn more and you distance yourself completely.’
Barry was contrite in a statement he issued to the outlet about his correspondence with Epstein, who was found dead in his jail cell in August of 2019.
Barry said, ‘There’s no excuse for what I said in some of my emails. The language was crude and juvenile, and I’m ashamed.’
He said, ‘While I did attend social events with Epstein, and he did visit my sets twice, I never traveled with him on his plane, visited his island, or saw him in the company of minors.’
Barry continued, ‘In my 47 years working in the entertainment industry, I’ve encountered thousands of people.
‘My biggest regret, bar none, is that I foolishly believed his denials of wrongdoing.’
Barry said that he was ‘blinded’ by Epstein’s ‘circle of acquaintances from varied industries’ which led him to misread the situation.
He ended his statement to the outlet in saying, ‘I apologize to all who were hurt by this clearly terrible and depraved individual.’
