Most bus stops serve as temporary waiting points, but this particular one might just be a destination on its own.
In a video posted to TikTok on Sept 9, user Sofina shared a clip of a bus stop located in front of a body of water with scenic, largely unobstructed views.
Two water-facing benches could be seen set up directly behind it.
The sight quickly drew the attention of netizens, with several highly curious about its location.

“Somewhere at Seletar I think,” one commented, while a few asked: “Where is it?”
Others were more focused on the view, with one netizen dubbing it “Singapore’s version of Sun Moon Lake” — referring to the popular attraction in Taiwan.
A separate comment read: “The bus stop I always pass by on the way to work at Mandai. It’s so gorgeous.”
Some netizens also chimed in with photos of their own visits to the spot.
Sharing a snapshot of her fishing there, a user marvelled at the sunset view. Meanwhile, another comment showed a picture of someone enjoying the beautiful waterfront views in the day.
But not everyone was thrilled about the attention the bus stop was getting — a few were worried it would cause the spot to become crowded.
“Now the whole Singapore is going to be here,” lamented a user. Another quipped: “You all cannot keep secret ah?”
So where exactly is this scenic spot?
For those who are still wondering, it is at Upper Seletar Reservoir.
A check on SBS Transit’s website showed that the only two bus services that stop there are 138 and 138A.
Built in 1920, Upper Seletar Reservoir is one of four reservoirs that bound the Central Catchment Nature Reserve, Singapore’s largest nature reserve.

Apart from the bus stop, the reservoir houses another iconic spot — a lone Casuarina tree by the water flanked by two benches.
It is also home to a diversity of wildlife, including the Long-tailed Macaque and birds such as the Collared Kingfisher, Olive-winged Bulbul and more.
And it seems encounters with these creatures may not exactly be uncommon.
Recalling a visit to the spot, a user commented that she and her friends had been “ambushed by monkeys” when they tried to have a meal there.
“They ate our nasi lemak and one of it ate the sambal. We saw it kind of suffering a bit… And drank our green tea,” she shared.
Separately, another user said he had been attacked by crows in the area “for no reason”.
