Savannah Guthrie’s mom, Nancy Guthrie, “has high blood pressure, [a] pacemaker and cardiac issues,” according to 911 dispatch audio regarding the 84-year-old’s disappearance.
In addition to the her health woes, the brief clip, obtained by Fox News Digital on Tuesday, gave a physical description of the matriarch, who became the subject of a missing persons investigation on Sunday.
Nancy was last seen at her Catalina Foothills, Ariz., home Saturday evening.
Nancy did not show up to church Sunday, and officials found blood in her home, as well as signs of forced entry.
Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos announced Monday that Nancy’s residence is being treated as a crime scene as investigators believe she was “taken from the home against her will, possibly in the middle of the night.”
He stressed during a press conference that Nancy “suffers from some physical ailments [and] has some physical challenges,” leaving her in urgent need of medication.
“If she doesn’t have [her meds] in 24 hours, it could be fatal,” he explained.
As for Nancy’s mental capacity, Nanos clarified she is “sharp as a tack” and “isn’t somebody who just wandered off.”
The sheriff choked up while speaking to CBS 5’s Briana Whitney on Tuesday about whether his team is “still looking for Nancy Guthrie alive at this point.”
He insisted, voice cracking, “We’re just not gonna give up hope. We hope she’s out there somewhere.”
While awaiting news about Nancy’s well-being, Savannah has pleaded with her fans to pray.
“Raise your prayers with us and believe with us that she will be lifted by them in this very moment,” the NBC personality wrote via Instagram late Monday evening. “We need you. … Bring her home.”
The “Today” show anchor, 54, and her siblings — Annie Guthrie and Camron Guthrie — have been “leaning on each other” during the crisis, Nanos shared with Us Weekly.
He described the family members as “involved and engaged” while acknowledging their situation is “tough, there’s no doubt.”
