Robert Irwin has shared intimate behind-the-scenes details about a fan favourite video featuring his niece, Grace Warrior.
In the viral clip, the 22-year-old conservationist can be seen in an elaborate Prince Charming costume while dancing with the four-year-old.
Originally shared in time for Halloween, the post, which sees Grace in a Cinderella outfit, attracted thousands of comments since it dropped in October.
Robert said the clip was filmed ahead of joining his niece and her family for some trick-or-treating
‘I knew that she had dressed as Cinderella,’ the Wildlife Warrior explained during an appearance on Kylie Kelce’s Not Gonna Lie podcast earlier this month.
Robert, who was appearing on Dancing With The Stars US at the time, said he then turned to the show’s wardrobe team.

He continued: ‘We had just done the Disney episode, and I asked [whether] they could get me or make me a Prince Charming outfit. ‘
After getting the costume together, Robert revealed that his sister Bindi Irwin began to tease her daughter that ‘Prince Charming’ might pay a visit.
‘I remember I walked through the door in the full costume,’ Robert said in the chat, ‘and there she was in a Cinderella costume and it’s the first time I’ve seen her go all shy, and she says to me: “Oh my gosh, Uncle Robert, you’re Prince Charming”.’
‘She was like “You’ve been Prince Charming this whole time!”, and I thought it was the cutest thing.’
Fans responded enthusiastically to Robert’s story and shared their comments on the podcast post, which was shared by the TV star on his Instagram.
‘Yes, Grace… he’s always been Prince Charming. That’s why he’s so universally loved!’ said one follower, while another added: ‘He is just a genuine soul.’
A third commented: ‘That’s a special core memory that both of them will never forget. Good on Robert being the best uncle ever.’

It comes after Robert recently made a gracious offer to US star couple Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce ahead of their wedding, which is believed to be in 2026.
In a preview clip for US ABC News’ upcoming special Year: 2025, the Dancing With The Stars winner said he would open the gates of Australia Zoo for their nuptials.
‘You know what’d really, in my opinion, just absolutely make that wedding is if it were an Australian wedding,’ Robert said in the clip.
He added that Australia Zoo fit the bill nicely as it has hosted many weddings over the years.
‘One of the things that we do that is the most popular is weddings at Australia Zoo. We have hosted many,’ he said.
‘We have this beautiful location overlooking the African savanna, where rhinos and giraffes are just frolicking out in the open in the wild, and you get married over that, and it’s stunning.’
Robert then addressed the couple directly, urging them to get in touch to lock in the date.
‘So, Travis and Taylor, hit me up. I got you!’ he said.
