Vicki Gunvalson is setting the record straight on daughter Briana Culberson’s private life in Oklahoma with husband Ryan Culberson.
“There’s some bad crap on the internet. Ryan’s a perfect husband. Briana is a perfect wife. They have a perfect family, so everybody needs to shut up,” Vicki, 64, exclusively told Us at The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20th launch event on Tuesday, August 4, in New York City. “I mean, it’s really made Briana upset. I just hope it all goes away because she’s got an online business and she’s very respected. And Ryan’s a great guy.”
Briana’s life was put under the microscope after her brother, Michael Wolfsmith, revealed on the July 30 episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County that he hasn’t seen his sister in nearly eight years.
“I was living in Hawaii and now Spain,” Michael, 40, wrote via Instagram when discussing the distance. “A couple years ago, I said I wanted to visit when I was fairly close to Oklahoma, and she said it wasn’t a good time because of her husband, who I don’t get along with very well 🤷♂️.”
He later clarified he’s in a group chat with Briana, 39, and Vicki and they “have friendly personal convos.”

“I would prefer if we could see each other in person!” Michael added. “We were sending each other pugs we want a couple days ago.”
Vicki made it clear on Tuesday that just because Briana isn’t filming for RHOC doesn’t mean she is unhappy with her reality.
“They have four children. They’re happy. I’m happy. My daughter’s happy. That’s all I could want for my children,” she said at The Lobster Club. “I mean, there was a moment in time where he got back from war and he got angry at one person one time. But they’re now making something out of that. That was over 15 years ago.”
Vicki is likely referring to a RHOC scene from 2013 when Ryan got upset with Lydia McLaughlin‘s mom, Judy McLaughlin, for putting her feet up on a couch during Vicki’s Winter Wonderland-themed party. (Ryan later apologized for his behavior.)

After 20 years of RHOC, Vicki is trying to focus less on the dramatic moments from the franchise and more on the magic that comes with filming.
On RHUGT: Roaring 20th, Vicki had the chance to bond with several original Housewives from various cities, including Kyle Richards.
“I had never gotten to know Kyle on a personal level, and we talked about [her estranged husband] Mauricio [Umansky],” Vicki teased. “We talked about my relationship with [my ex-husband] Don, divorce and kids. It was really good to get to know her. It was fabulous.”
