Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni reached a settlement in their high-profile legal battle over the 2024 film “It Ends With Us” Monday.
The “Gossip Girl” actress first filed a sexual harassment complaint against the “Jane the Virgin” actor in December 2024, following that up with a formal lawsuit.
Baldoni, in turn, countersued both The New York Times and Lively, though both lawsuits were thrown out by a judge in June 2025.
Lively’s case against Baldoni suffered a blow when a judge threw out 10 of the 13 claims she levied against her “It Ends With Us” director and co-star last month.
The two stars were set to face off in court on May 18.
Read Lively and Baldoni’s joint statement, which brought the trial to an end before it ever began, below:
The end product – the movie “It Ends With Us” – is a source of pride to all of us who worked to bring it to life.
Raising awareness, and making a meaningful impact in the lives of domestic violence survivors – and all survivors – is a goal that we stand behind.
We acknowledge the process presented challenges and recognize concerns raised by Ms. Lively deserved to be heard.
We remain firmly committed to workplaces free of improprieties and unproductive environments.
It is our sincere hope that this brings closure and allows all involved to move forward constructively and in peace, including a respectful environment online.
