Dhurandhar box office collection day 2: Ranveer Singh’s spy drama is seeing an upswing in collections on Saturday after a strong opening day.

Following a strong opening on Friday, Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar experienced a surge in earnings on Saturday, thanks to positive word of mouth. This has positioned the film for an amazing opening weekend, nearing the Rs 60 crore mark in domestic earnings. Dhurandhar surpassed forecasts and achieved stronger results than anticipated in the local market, generating Rs 27 crore net in India on its opening day.

The trend persisted on Saturday too. The Saturday morning programs displayed an occupancy of 18%, in contrast to 15% on Friday. Likewise, the afternoon occupancy rates increased from 28% to 35%. This allowed the movie to gross Rs 31 crore net in India on the second day, as per Sacnilk. This is almost a 15% increase from its initial day earnings. The film’s total earnings in India currently amount to Rs 58 crore. Dhurandhar has been buoyed by positive viewer reactions despite mixed reviews. This has led to a strong word of mouth. If the film maintains its momentum, it can cross Rs 90 crore net in its opening weekend itself.

Dhurandhar surpasses Cirkus’s total box office earnings

Dhurandhar achieved a record for the highest-ever opening of a film featuring Ranveer Singh as the lead, surpassing Simmba and Padmaavat by a considerable margin. In only two days, it has surpassed the lifetime earnings of several of the actor’s earlier films. Cirkus, the 2022 financial flop, earned only Rs 35.80 crore net in India, a figure that Dhurandhar has already exceeded.
