Olivia Wilde has slammed ‘creature’ Elon Musk years after meeting him in Los Angeles.
The actress and director revealed Monday that she resents the ‘trillionaire’ and could never have conceived of him pursuing the path that he’s taken.
‘I really resent him now – I really deeply resent him,’ Wilde, 42, said while a guest on The Louis Theroux Podcast.
‘I met him many, many years ago. I think SpaceX had just built their headquarters in L.A. and I got to go on a tour because I wanted to see the rocket ships.’
It was ‘before he turned into this creature,’ she said, adding that Musk had been ‘interested in donating money to an organization that I was a part of in Haiti that was building hospitals and schools.’
The Daily Mail has reached out to representatives for the actress and Musk’s company Tesla for further comment.

The Invite director-star said she believes Musk ‘did donate a little bit of money’ at the time, which she ‘appreciated,’ adding that ‘he did seem really smart.’
Wilde said of Musk: ‘I was confused by him. I would never have predicted he would go down the path he has gone down.’
One of the issues Wilde said she took exception to regarding Musk was what she felt was his promotion of incel culture values, and the notion that man can prevail over nature.
She said that Musk has been ‘talking about how we don’t have enough people and the world is underpopulated and we could handle another billion people.’
Musk previously said in 2022: ‘A lot of people are under the impression that the current number of humans is unsustainable on the planet. That is totally untrue. The population density is actually quite low.’
Wilde in 2022 took aim at what she perceives as incel culture with remarks aimed toward author Jordan Peterson, who she said inspired the character portrayed by Chris Pine in her film Don’t Worry Darling.
At the time, she dubbed Peterson a ‘pseudo-intellectual hero to the incel community,’ which led to an emotional display from Peterson when it was brought up in a September 2022 chat with Piers Morgan.
Wilde in 2022 said her interpretation of incels are ‘disenfranchised, mostly white men, who believe they are entitled to sex from women.

‘And they believe that society has now robbed them – that the idea of feminism is working against nature, and that we must be put back into the correct place.’
In her appearance with Theroux, Wilde characterized her past labeling of Peterson as ‘a pseudo-intellectual’ as ‘unfair’ when comparing him to other notable figures in the public eye.
She said of Peterson: ‘He obviously thinks about things deeply, but I just feel that he operates in a way that is a buttoned-up version of the type of thinkers that lead to the Andrew Tates of the world.
‘There are different layers to that community, some of whom speak more clearly the points they are all actually filtering through.’
Wilde said that her ‘issue with Peterson is a lot of people who are not in any way misogynist have adopted this sanitized version of the same philosophy that’s rooted in deep misogyny and weaponized by the incel community – the basic point of it is entitlement to power.’
She said that the entitlement remains an issue ‘that many men are struggling with’ as she noted the political and societal ramifications that she feels have arisen as result.
Wilde has been outspoken about various gender and entitlement issues she feels are burgeoning in modern culture
‘I was disturbed by what I saw as this misogyny that was being weaponized and leading us to elect Donald Trump twice,’ Wilde said, ‘and beyond that just empower these groups of people who I think are dangerous.’
Peterson in 2022 explained to Morgan why he felt moved to tears by remarks Wilde had made.
‘It’s really something to see – constantly how many people are dying for lack of an encouraging word and how easy it is to provide that if you’re careful,’ Peterson said.
Wilde, speaking with Theroux, said that she felt his statement about the ‘lack of an encouraging word’ rang ‘absurd.’
She explained: ‘There is a large, booming world of encouragement happening at all time for these men, which is: “This world is yours and you are entitled to it.” That’s deeply ingrained in our society. This idea they need a reminder of encouragement and deserve more is ludicrous.’
