Raj Kapoor’s acting career lasted for over four decades, in which he gave 5 blockbusters, 1 superhit, and 11 hit films. However, in the year 1949, when he was just 25, Raj delivered two blockbusters—Andaz and Barsaat. These movies broke the record for highest-grossing Indian films within a span of three months. Two years later, he delivered another all-time blockbuster with Awaara.
Further in this entertainment news, Raj Kapoor’s two films competed at the Cannes Film Festival – Awaara and Boot Polish. Even though they didn’t win, th actor received praises. Time Magazine praised him and wrote ‘Top-Ten Greatest Performances of All Time in World Cinema.’
