Next Gen NYC star Hudson McLeroy is shutting down rumors that Gia Giudice had anything to do with his split from Ariana Biermann.

“The biggest rumor was you’re the one that caused the breakup,” Hudson, 24, said during the Monday, June 29, episode of Gia’s “Casual Chaos” podcast. “We could put that to rest right here, right now.”

The two were laughing about speculation online claiming that Gia, 25, was somehow involved in Ariana, 24, and Hudson’s split late last year.

Gia previously shut down the speculation during the Next Gen NYC Aftershow on Wednesday, June 24. She and Ariana also listed several other rumors about the split, including one alleging Ariana’s mom, Kim Zolciak, was involved.

Ariana and Hudson announced their breakup in a joint social media statement posted in October 2025.

“Hudson and I have decided to go our separate ways,” they wrote. “While these things are never easy, we both know it’s what’s best for us right now. We are so grateful for all the love and support you’ve shown us over the years.”

Fans are watching their breakup and the aftermath on Next Gen NYC season 2, which is currently airing on Bravo.

Hudson noted during Monday’s podcast episode that he was “blown away” by the fan reaction to his split from Ariana.

“The fact that it was just everywhere, that’s the reason we felt it was necessary to make that public statement,” he explained. “Even whenever there was just rumors about it, it was insane.”

Hudson explained that they wanted Next Gen NYC fans to “really understand” what was going on between them.

“I know how much everybody loved our relationship. We were reading comments, seeing how much people loved our love,” he added. “We tried to just give a little bit of explanation to everybody, rather than leaving everybody in the dark and just deleting each other off each other’s Instagrams.”

Hudson confirmed to Gia that the split was ultimately Ariana’s decision.

“I want to be with her every second of every day. She’s my favorite person in the entire world,” he said. “I just got so comfortable within our relationship that I stopped growing. I stopped becoming the man I need to become.”

Next Gen NYC star Ariana Biermann has sparked reconciliation rumors with costar Hudson McLeroy six months after their split. Ariana, 24, took to Instagram on Thursday, April 16, to share a video of herself lounging on the beach as a mystery man’s hand reached over and gently brushed her hair before resting on her head. Hudson continued, “I really stopped excelling in every area of my life, because I was just so comfortable with her all the time. When you have that amount of comfortability, you stop realizing what mistakes you’re making, you stop realizing where you could be doing better and where you’re lacking.”

As for where they stand now, Hudson said he and Ariana are taking things “slow” as they figure out next steps.

“We’re really trying to pump the brakes and make sure that this is truly what we want,” he said. “We don’t want to get all back into it again and then have to split.”

Next Gen NYC airs on Bravo Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET and is available to stream the next day on Peacock
