Is This a Game Show? creator, comic and actress Mitsy Sanderson will clear up any questions about her inquisitively titled new series when it hits Tubi on July 31.

The project, from Adam Wescott’s newly launched Home Game Studios, is described as a comedy-driven game show — that answers that! — which brings together contestants from different corners of culture to compete in challenges that test their knowledge of current events, pop culture and themselves. Featuring head-to-head match-ups, like “LA vs. New York,” and “Drag Queen vs. Bro,” the series will welcome a revolving door of personalities, podcasters and more.

“I really wanted to create a show that was fun and in a format I could host and do lots of episodes over time,” says Sanderson. “A game show like show was the perfect idea for anyone to watch anytime. We had such a great time on set. The guests, no matter how different they were, came ready to play. I am excited to share it all with Tubi viewers. I think they will really enjoy it.”

THIS IS A GAME SHOW? with MITSY SANDERSON

Created by Wescott, Is This a Game Show? was developed in-house as the first title from his Home Game Studios. It reunites the CEO and co-founder with Tubi following the success of Sidelined: The QB and Me, the streamer’s most-watched original title to date that has gone on to become a three-film franchise. (The final installment bows later in 2026.)

Alongside co-founder Max Lubin, Home Game Studios is an independent content studio that will develop, produce and distribute scripted and unscripted content with creators and brands. Among the growing slate of projects that will roll out in the near future are titles with top and emerging creators include Loey Lane, Gray Fagan and Morgann Book, as well as a dating competition featuring Texas fitness influencers Ethan Kwon, Tin Nguyen and Flako.

The launch comes as Tubi and its audience further embraces creator-led entertainment across platforms. Per Tubi’s annual cultural insights report, 67 percent of respondents claimed digital creator content felt more original than traditional television series and films.

“YouTube is increasingly becoming the new cable TV, where audiences discover personalities, formats and franchises that can move across platforms,” said Wescott, who’s spent more than two decades at the intersection of creators, digital media and traditional entertainment — previously founding banner Mind Chatter Media and co-founded Select Management Group. “Tubi is creating real opportunities for creator-led projects to reach mainstream streaming audiences. and shares our vision that Creators have become some of the most powerful entertainment engines in the world. The next phase is not just about reach. Home Game Studios is built to bridge creator instincts and audience insight with the structure and production discipline needed to build premium, repeatable formats that meet audiences wherever they are watching, from social to streaming and television.”

As for This Is a Game Show?, the project comes with a pedigree of unscripted talent with Daytime Emmy winner Grace Anaclerio (The Ellen DeGeneres Show and The Jennifer Hudson Show) serving as co-executive producer and director.

Added Rich Bloom, Tubi’s general manager, creator programs, and evp of business development, “Tubi has been an early believer in the power of creator-led storytelling and the opportunity to bring those voices to a broader audience. Adam Wescott has been a strong partner in that effort, with a deep understanding of how to work with creators and build programming that resonates with both their fans and new viewers. We’re excited to expand that relationship with Home Game Studios and give people more ways to go deeper into the content they love.”
