Raja Raghuvanshi’s murder has shook the nation. The 29-year-old Raja Raghuvanshi who hailed from Indore was brutally killed in the hills of Meghalaya. Currently, the case has drawn everyone’s attention as it is his wife Sonam Raghuvanshi who is being accused of the killing.
Raja Raghuvanshi and Sonam Raghuvanshi’s trip
Raja Raghuvanshi and Sonam Raghuvanshi tied the knot on May 11. They appeared to be pretty happy on their D-day basis several videos that have gone viral. Later, they left for Meghalaya for their honeymoon.
Raja Raghuvanshi and Sonam Raghuvanshi went missing
Panic arose when the couple disappeared on May 23. The family was in shock and was frantically hunting for the couple. Ten days later, on June 2, the mortal remains of Raja Raghuvanshi were found in a deep gorge beneath the Weisawdong Parking Lot at Riat Arliang.
Sonam Raghuvanshi surrendered
It was a few days later that Sonam Raghuvanshi was found in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghazipur. As per reports, she had made a call to her brother from a dhaba. Later, she reportedly surrendered at Nandganj police station.

Since then, a lot of reports about this shocking murder case are coming to fore. Reportedly, it was Sonam Raghuvanshi who planned Raja Raghuvanshi’s murder along with three others who have been arrested by the police.
Brother draws parallels
Now, Raja Raghuvanshi’s brother Sachin Raghuvanshi spoke to news agency ANI and drew parallel between his brother’s murder and Bollywood crime thriller Humraaz that starred Bobby Deol, Akshaye Khanna and Ameesha Patel.
Movie Humraaz
He said that the movie had a scene in which the wife refused to consummate the marriage as she had taken a manat. Similarly, Sonam Raghuvanshi too refused to start her new life with Raja Raghuvanshi stating that she first needs to visit a temple, said his brother Sachin Raghuvanshi.
Case details
Currently, Sonam Raghuvanshi is in police custody. Three others have also been arrested in this case. The investigation is on and police is yet to reveal the details.
