He previously shaved his head for the role back in late June of 2024 and surprised his wife Rhea Durham with the look, eliciting a ‘priceless’ reaction. At the time, he told People Magazine: ‘No bald cap for me; we go all in.’
Explaining the shaving process he said: ‘There was no bald cap. I shaved the middle and left the horseshoe around the sides. We just shaved it. [Crew hairdressers] would shave the top as close to the scalp as possible every day, obviously, because we didn’t have any stubble or anything. So I just hid it with a hat,’ he added.

Back in June 2024, Wahlberg revealed that filming Flight Risk was as intense as the storyline, wrapping up production in a swift 22 days.
The praised celebrity director Mel Gibson’s for his directorial skills, telling People ‘he knew exactly what he wanted,’ which fast-tracked the filming process.
But after the quick filming, Wahlberg said he ditched the scalp-bearing change after only sporting it for a few weeks.
Later in the interview the actor opened up about disliking the time spent in the makeup chair because of the constant ‘poking’ and ‘prodding.’
Instead, he prefers to focus on preparation beforehand and staying immersed in his role once filming begins.
He told the magazine: ‘I don’t like the makeup chair. I mean, I don’t like touchups and all that stuff.’
‘I kind of like to do all that prep and everything leading up to it. Then by the time we’re actually working, I don’t like to be kind of picked and poked and prodded. I like to kind of just do my thing.’
‘For me, yeah, it’s not fun. You know, hopefully I can just kind of become the character,’ he added. ‘Wearing a fake — either a wig or mustache, I always feel like it feels ridiculous.’
