Married At First Sight star Domenica Calarco has shared an emotional update with fans, revealing the harsh reality behind life as a single mother as she broke down in tears on Instagram.
Posting to her Stories on Wednesday, the reality TV personality admitted she was ‘falling apart inside’ as she opened up about the challenges of co-parenting, juggling work commitments and navigating life after her relationship breakdown with ex Jarod Bogunovich.
In a series of candid Instagram Stories videos, Domenica revealed she was struggling mentally and felt trapped in a ‘vicious cycle’ with someone who remained in her life despite her wishes.
‘I have a dilemma and I would love your advice on this,’ she began.
‘I’m going through a situation where somebody is in my life, even though I don’t want them to be, and they make me feel like I am going crazy.’
The 33-year-old said the situation had left her questioning her own values and emotions whenever her boundaries were crossed.

‘I don’t know if that is the definition of gaslighting or what it is, but I am stuck in this cycle, and it is a vicious cycle,’ she said.
‘I’m really, really struggling mentally and I haven’t spoken about that.’
While she insisted she has tried to accommodate the other parent, Domenica claimed she was often made to feel as though she was overreacting when conflict arose.
‘I’m the one making a big deal out of things. I’m the one taking things out of proportion,’ she said.
‘And when I finally get the apology after I have gotten emotional about it, that’s meant to be good enough.’
The influencer later broke down in tears as she spoke about the overwhelming demands of raising her daughter Dove alone while trying to keep up appearances online.
‘People always say to me, “How do you do it, Domenica? How do you look put together?”‘ she said.

Domenica explained she was struggling to balance motherhood with her work commitments, revealing she was already behind on filming sponsored content while caring for her daughter.
‘I haven’t seen my friends in months. I’m literally the s**tiest friend,’ she admitted.
The former reality star said the polished image she presents on social media was far from the reality of her day-to-day life.
‘It’s all fake, it literally is. It’s an outfit, it’s makeup that I can put on. Do you know what I can’t put on? It’s fixing my life.’
She finished the videos by pleading with followers for advice on her situation.
Domenica announced her pregnancy in March last year, and shortly after confirmed that she would be a solo parent following her split from boyfriend Jarod.
Speaking exclusively to Daily Mail at the time, Domenica said: ‘I am incredibly excited about this next chapter in my life and feel truly empowered by my decision to step into motherhood on my own terms.
‘While I will be welcoming this baby as a solo parent, I am grateful to have the support of the father in a co-parenting capacity.’
Domenica, who appeared on Married At First Sight in 2022, said she would be embracing the journey ‘wholeheartedly’.
