Casa Amor bombshell Alannah Keyser is breaking her silence after she was removed from Love Island USA season eight when a video resurfaced of her using the N-word.

In the video, Keyser, whose final appearance on the show was during episode 20, appeared to be singing along to Roddy Ricch’s 2019 song “The Box,” which included a racial slur in the lyrics.

On Sunday, she took to her TikTok to address her exit and the resurfaced clip, saying, “I’m coming on here to address some things that have been circulating online. I do want to begin by addressing the video of me singing along to a Roddy Ricch song that contains a racial slur. I’m sorry to whoever has seen that video and has been offended by it; that was never my intention. The video is from six years ago, and that word is just not in my vocabulary anymore.”

“I do want to say directly that I do not support racism or discrimination of any kind, and I never have,” Keyser added. “When I first found out that these things were going around online, it really broke my heart, and I couldn’t do anything about it. But this has definitely been a learning lesson for me, and it sucks that I didn’t get a chance to really show my personality and who I am.”

The Hollywood Reporter understands that the resurfaced social media video appears to have not been shared publicly until after her appearance on Love Island USA, meaning they were not accessible at any time during the vetting process.

Keyser is the fourth castmember to be removed from Love Island USA in the last two seasons due to backlash surrounding resurfaced videos or posts. Vasana Montgomery was removed from season eight ahead of the June 2 premiere when social media posts emerged of her using the N-word.

Last year, two Islanders were also removed during season seven. Yulissa Escobar was kicked off the show at the beginning of the season after clips of her using the N-word resurfaced online, and a few weeks later, Cierra Ortega was dropped after receiving backlash for a social media post that showed her using a racial slur.

New episodes of Love Island USA, hosted by Ariana Madix and narrated by Iain Stirling, drop Thursdays through Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT, with Love Island Aftersun (hosted by Ciara Miller and Tefi Pessoa) airing every Saturday. Check out all of THR‘s season eight coverage here.
