The son of Amy Fisher, who is infamously known as the “Long Island Lolita,” was arrested after he allegedly killed his cat and possibly put the pet in the microwave.

The Broward County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that Brett Anthony Bellera and his girlfriend, Jennifer Armenti, were both charged with aggravated cruelty to animals after their cat, Reaper, was found burned to death in their Fort Lauderdale, Florida, apartment during a December 2024 incident.

The cat suffered severe pain before it died from “involuntary heat exposure.” It is believed that the cat sustained the injuries from either microwave radiation, being submerged in hot water or exposure to hot water vapor, according to a forensic necropsy performed by the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), per WPLG.

Bellera, 25, was charged while he was already in custody on other charges, and he also has a lengthy list of past charges including robbery and drugs.

An investigation was launched into the matter before Bellera was charged earlier in July and Armenti was arrested in Miramar on Wednesday, July 15.

Bellera is Fisher’s eldest son with ex-husband Louis Bellera, who is a retired NYPD officer.

He was first arrested back when he was 18, and Brett has been hit with drug and robbery charges over the years, according to records reviewed by the Daily Mail.
