Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin are still trying to process their emotions after joining Bad Bunny on his Super Bowl halftime show stage on Sunday.
The “Abracadabra” singer took to her Instagram on Monday to express her gratitude for the opportunity to be a part of the special moment.
“Thank you Benito for including me in this powerful, important and meaningful performance,” she wrote. “I am so humbled to be a part of this moment. It’s all the more special because it was with you and your beautiful heart and music. All my love to Benito, Ricky and the whole cast.”
“Thank you to @chloeandchenelle and @luar for my beautiful styling and fashion. All of your talent and love made that beautiful dress come to life,” Gaga concluded.
Bad Bunny‘s Apple Music Super Bowl LX Halftime Show was emotional for many, as he not only brought his culture to the global stage to share with everyone, with a set inspired by his hometown community in Puerto Rico, but he also told a love story throughout his show on football’s biggest night. This all led to his overall message, which was displayed on screens inside Levi’s Stadium: “The only thing more powerful than hate is love.”
About halfway through the performance, Lady Gaga made a surprise cameo, singing a Latin-inspired rendition of her and Bruno Mars’ song, “Die With a Smile.”
Shortly following the performance, Gaga initially wrote on social media, “It was my absolute honor to be a part of Benito’s halftime show. Thank you Benito for inviting me and thank you to the entire cast for welcoming me onto your stage. I wouldn’t miss it for the world.”
Later in the halftime show, Martin also made a surprise appearance to perform part of Bad Bunny’s song “LO QUE LE PASÓ A HAWAii.” The Puerto Rican singer and songwriter has been a longtime champion and friend of the “DtMF” artist.
“They have to give me several hours to let me understand the tsunami of emotions I am feeling,” he wrote in Spanish on Instagram Sunday. “Thank you @ladygaga, thank you @nfl thank you @rocnation @applemusic and @badbunnypr.”
In addition to the surprise performers, Alix Earle, Jessica Alba, Cardi B, Karol G, Pedro Pascal, Ronald Acuña Jr. and Young Miko were also spotted during Bad Bunny’s halftime show, dancing in his iconic “La Casita.” Fans had been speculating for weeks about who the Puerto Rican rapper and singer would bring out as surprise guests.
