Kyle Cooke was the last one suspicious of his estranged wife, Amanda Batula, and West Wilson.
While his friends had “spidey senses” about the situation, the 43-year-old Summer House star admitted during an interview with People, published on Wednesday June 10, that he ignored the signs.
Days before the pair released their statement in March confirming their relationship, Kyle checked Amanda’s location and realized that she spent the night at West’s apartment. Kyle decided to get Ciara Miller involved and she asked for a face-to-face meet up — which was unheard of, according to Kyle.
“I couldn’t sleep,” he recalled. “Ciara is a homebody. She wants to drag herself to my apartment to have a huddle? I had a sinking feeling in my stomach.”

Another location check on Amanda, 34, before the news broke sealed the deal for Kyle.
“I’m looking at her location and she’s at an Irish dive bar in Southern L.A.,” he recalled. “I’m like, ‘That does not sound like a spot that Amanda would normally go to. She’s with West. There’s no other explanation.’”
Amanda told best friend Ciara, who dated West in 2023, about the relationship first.
“Ciara immediately called me and I finally heard from Amanda nine hours later,” Kyle recalled. “Even though I already had so many pieces of the puzzle, I was still in disbelief.”
He thought that a relationship with West would “be so reckless and thoughtless and irresponsible,” which is what made Amanda’s decision so confusing to him — and the rest of the Summer House cast.
“Amanda is not usually any of those things,” he added.
Fans watched Amanda and Kyle’s four-year marriage dissipate as Summer House season 10 aired. The two were separated by November 2025, announcing their split in January.
Two months later, after rampant online speculation and denials, Amanda and West confirmed they are dating.
Throughout the season 10 reunion — which aired its third part on Tuesday, June 9, — the cast tried to get answers out of Amanda and West. If you ask viewers, a lot is still unanswered. Kyle agreed, explaining that he “expected to learn more” from the pair.
Kyle told People on Wednesday that West was “more defensive than remorseful.” The pair had a longer conversation, which was filmed and is set to air in a post-reunion special on Tuesday, June 16.
“I finally got him to own up to some things I needed to hear him say,” Kyle teased. “It was one of those conversations that I was like, ‘I don’t know what we just talked about for two and a half hours.’ I’m not saying we talked in circles, but maybe I was too easy on him.”
