Kevin Hart came to the defense of Tony Hinchcliffe’s George Floyd roast joke after Chelsea Handler called the comedian a ‘racist.’
The 46-year-old star offered his thoughts during an appearance on The Breakfast Club on Tuesday alongside hosts Charlamagne tha God and Loren LoRosa.
Last week, Handler brought up the roast as well as Hinchcliffe and Shane Gillis, saying ‘they’re racists, they’re bigots, they’re sexist.’
And on Monday, Hinchcliffe shared a response of his own as he unleashed a foul-mouthed attack Handler and ‘mentally ill liberals.’
During the Netflix special The Roast Of Kevin Hart which aired earlier this month, Hinchcliffe had said, ‘The black community is so proud of you. Right now, George Floyd is looking up at us all, laughing so hard he can’t breathe.’
Hart explained on the radio program, ‘It wasn’t a tasteful joke to our culture, to our audience, but our audience that’s watching the roast, if you’re watching the roast, you get why they’re doing it.’
