Katie Couric suffered a ‘freaky’ health scare while attending the Aspen Ideas Festival in Colorado on June 27.

The 69-year-old journalist penned a Substack essay titled ‘The Day I’ll Never Remember’ on Monday where she revealed she was so ‘out of it’ during her two panels that she was rushed to the Aspen Valley Hospital.

‘When I was asked the month, the year, and who was president, I got them wrong,’ Couric recalled.

‘I wasn’t sure of the month. I thought it was 2024. And I believed Joe Biden was president.’

Doctors first thought the seven-time Daytime Emmy winner had suffered a stroke, but she was later diagnosed with transient global amnesia described as ‘a sudden, temporary loss of the ability to form new memories.’

‘This was a freaky occurrence, it could have been much more serious,’ Couric wrote.
