Jude Law, British actor and producer, had his star unveiled on Los Angeles’ emblematic Hollywood Walk of Fame on Thursday, December 12.
Honouring his three decades of film career, the star of The Talented Mr Ripley, and The New Pope, received star number 2,798, located next to the symbolic El Capitán movie theatre and in front of the mythical Chinese Hollywood theatre.
Law said during the presentation, ‘It has a place here, among the talent I grew up watching in all those movies. It is sublime and ridiculous at the same time,’ surrounded by family and colleagues from the industry.

‘The need to collaborate is the greatest reward of the medium, and some of you and many others with whom I have collaborated for more than 30 years, people from whom I have learned and who have encouraged, guided and inspired me, are the reason why I have this star,’ he added.
Jurnee Smollett, who co-stars with Jude Law in the movie ‘The Order’ said, ‘Witnessing your dedication to the trade has been a unique experience in my life. Being in your orbit has made me a better artist, I dare say a better person, and I look forward to our next adventure, dear brother, whatever form it takes.’
Law’s filmography includes a wide range of acclaimed titles such as ‘Gattaca’ (1997), ‘Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil’ (1997), and ‘Closer’ (2004).
The actor also won a BAFTA for best supporting actor for ‘The Talented Mr. Ripley’ in 1999, a film that also earned him an Oscar and Golden Globe nomination.
