Tahnee Sims has been slowly rebuilding her life after the tragic loss of her boyfriend, singer Johnny Ruffo, two years ago.

On Saturday, the White Fox Boutique product developer stepped out for a relaxing, solo trip to Sydney’s Maroubra beach.

The 32-year-old arrived casually dressed in a loose, white T-shirt and cut-off denim shorts.

Tahnee carried a tote bag over one shoulder as well as bringing along a pink water bottle and striped yellow and white towel.

She went barefoot while carrying her black flip flops, and appeared to be makeup-free for the outing.

Once she found a comfortable spot on the sand, Tahnee stripped down to a brown and white mismatched bikini and lay in the sun, quietly reading a book.

Former Home and Away star Ruffo died in 2023 with girlfriend Tahnee by his side after a six-year battle with brain cancer.

Tahnee, who was Johnny’s devoted partner for eight years, previously posted a gallery of black and white images of herself and the actor to mark one year since his death.

‘One year on without you. It feels like just yesterday and a lifetime ago all at once,’ she wrote.

‘There are so many things I wish I could say to you, so many moments I have wanted to share with you, so many times I’ve reached for my phone to call you. But the main thing I would want you to know, is that I am okay.

‘Grief is incredibly heavy but it’s the price we pay for love and I’m so grateful for all of the years we got to share together and the lifetime of love and adventure we packed in. Forever wouldn’t have been long enough with you… Miss you J.’

The X Factor star was first diagnosed with brain cancer in 2017, just two years after the couple first met at a dance studio.

In August that year, he was rushed to surgery and had a 7cm brain tumour surgically removed from his frontal lobe, before undergoing chemotherapy and radiotherapy.

Johnny went into remission months after his initial diagnosis in 2017, but revealed in November 2020 the disease had returned.

In August 2022, he confirmed his brain cancer diagnosis was terminal and said he feared how his girlfriend Tahnee would cope once he was gone.

He sadly died on November 10, 2023 just a week shy of Tahnee’s 30th birthday.

Johnny made no secret of the tremendous support he had from Tahnee throughout his cancer journey.

He shared countless gushing posts and credited her for ‘saving’ his life in several media interviews.

Tahnee was the one who rushed Johnny to hospital in the first instance, after he suffered a series of ongoing migraines.
