Jim Jefferies has shared the moment he was caught up in the simmering tensions between Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson.
The comedian was appearing on The Kyle and Jackie O Show days before the February 20 bust-up that ended the radio juggernaut, and experienced the co-stars clashing over Jackie’s ‘fixation’ on astrology firsthand.
The awkward experience proved Kyle’s frustrations with Jackie’s esoteric interests arose before the pair feuded over Jackie’s insistence on reading Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s birth chart live on air imploded their 25-year partnership.
Jeffries appeared on the radio show on February 14, which was his birthday, and that led to a disagreement between Sandilands and Henderson.
‘Jackie asked to do my horoscope and it was my birthday,’ Jeffries said on 4BC Afternoons with Carla Bignasca on Thursday.
‘She started looking into all the star signs and then Kyle went, “Oh, well, you doing this again, are you?”.’

Jefferies tried to diffuse the tension by joking along with Sandilands.
‘I got into it as well. I went, “Oh, bloody women and stars, signs and all this type of stuff, right?” I thought we were all having a bit of fun,’ he said.
‘And then the next day it all blew up. So, there must have been more to it.’
Jefferies has been named as one of the stars who could be approached to take over the slot left behind by axing of The Kyle and Jackie O Show.
The funnyman says ‘no one has called’ but admitted that, ‘yes, I would do it’.
Henderson’s clash with Sandilands was sparked by a remark she had made about Andrew Mountbatten‑Windsor after she began reading out his astrology chart on air in response to news of his arrest – a moment that prompted her co-host to lash out and accuse her of a ‘fixation’ with astrology that made her ‘almost unworkable’.
Earlier this month, KIIS FM owners ARN announced that Henderson, 51, had told them that she ‘could not continue to work with Mr Kyle Sandilands’, after the on-air spat on February 20 – which led to ARN terminating her contract.
Sandilands is now engaged in an $88 million legal battle with ARN, after the radio network terminated his contract last Wednesday.

The former ratings king has filed a multimillion-dollar lawsuit against the media giant in the Federal Court.
Sandilands was suspended earlier this month for ‘serious misconduct’ before his axing, following his on-air fight with Henderson.
It’s now believed that Sandilands, 54, was given no details about what went on between Henderson and ARN in the days before her bombshell statement was released.
An insider says Sandilands will claim as part of his defence that he had no warnings from ARN management over the issue of how he spoke to his co-host.
Jackie and Kyle made their debut on 2DayFM’s Hot 30 Countdown in 2000, and five years later, they took on the station’s breakfast show, making it a ratings success.
