Jessie J had to get an emergency MRI after slamming her head on the roof of a car, forcing her to believe she had broken her neck.
The singer, 37, had to go to the hospital in Hangzhou, China, amid her ongoing “No Secrets” Tour, she revealed in an Instagram video over the weekend.
In the clip, she could be seen bumping her head on the roof of her minivan after telling her team she didn’t “mind squashing in the back.”
The footage then flashed to Jessie J — whose real name is Jessica Ellen Cornish — at the hospital undergoing an MRI scan.
“Yeah, I just can’t move my head. I’m alright, I’ll just have to take some painkillers and march right through it. I just wanna kinda run down the show,” she later told her crew during rehearsals.
“I thought I broke my neck, but I haven’t. But I have really hurt my neck and my back. Don’t say it,” she further explained.
“Hit my head 😂😩🥴, I should of minded squashing in the back,” the “Price Tag” singer captioned her post.
Jessie’s followers quickly shared their well wishes for the pop star in the comment section, with one fan writing, “Bloody hell Jess, you’re a liability [aren’t] you babe! Hope your neck and back are feeling better, rest up where you can 😘 Xx.”
A second person noted, “Ouch 🤕 , but what a show! 🙌,” while a third chimed in, “Feel better soon Jessie!”
In June 2025, Jessie revealed her breast cancer diagnosis on social media and underwent a mastectomy.
“Cancer sucks in any form, but I’m holding on to the word ‘early,’” she shared via Instagram video, adding that she decided to share her diagnosis publicly due to her fans’ constant support.
“You have loved me through all my good and hard times,” she gushed. “And I don’t want this to be any different.”
Jessie welcomed son Sky, now 2, in May 2023 after previously suffering a miscarriage. She shares the little one with basketball player Chanan Colman, whom she has been dating since 2021.
