Tears were flowing as Jennifer Lopez celebrated her son Max Muniz’s high school graduation last week.
The 18-year-old graduated from high school on Friday in a touching ceremony held at UCLA attended by his mother, his sibling Oskar Muniz, and his grandparents.
Ordinarily cool and composed, not even Lopez was immune from being moved to the point of tears as she watched her son receive his diploma.
In a moving, picture-perfect moment, Lopez pulled her son in for a congratulatory embrace, her pride and joy evident in the hug.
The actress, 56, composed herself for family photos with the new graduate, flashing a huge smile as they celebrated the monumental occasion.
But once cameras stopped snapping, she found herself fighting back tears.

The tears were flowing throughout the celebratory milestone
The sight of an instructor appeared to spark more emotion from Lopez, whose appreciation for the staffer was evident as she placed a gentle hand on her instructor.
Max was celebrated by his grandparents Guadalupe and David Lopez, his mother’s long-time manager Benny Medina, and his twin sibling Oskar (formerly Emme).
The occasion called for a pretty floral print dress and Birkin from Lopez while Oskar opted for a red polo shirt and blue slacks.
Max, meanwhile, wore a tie-dye shirt, matching Nike trainers, along with an array of celebratory leis.
Max and Oskar are the children of Lopez and Marc Anthony, the Grammy-award winning singer the actress was married to for 10 years.
Oskar already graduated from high school at an earlier ceremony, and Anthony did not appear to be present at either of Oskar and Max’s ceremonies.
The ceremony comes after The Daily Mail viewed a public announcement revealing JLo’s child – formerly known as Emme – is now called Oskar Muniz and goes by ‘he.’
Oskar was listed under the new name on a university program viewed by the Daily Mail.
in June 2022, when the youngsters were 14, Lopez went viral after introducing Oskar – them Emme – onstage as ‘they,’ indicating a nonbinary identification.

The graduation took place just days after Lopez fought back tears at the prospect of her children moving out of her vast $18 million mansion.
‘Don’t talk about it, I’ll start crying,’ the singer said when the subject was broached to her this week on Jimmy Kimmel Live!
She confessed she had been ‘crying for two months’ at the thought of the twins leaving and would be in tears once again at their graduations.
Benny Medina, Jennifer’s long-time manager, was also present

The twins’ father, Anthony, is expecting his eighth child, the second with his latest wife, Nadia Ferreira, a beauty queen three decades his junior.
When Kimmel asked Lopez whether she found it ‘inconvenient’ for her children to attend separate high schools, she waved off the question.
‘I mean, it’s fine,’ said the actress, who starred in Kiss of the Spider Woman. ‘I want them to be happy. Go where they want to go, do what they want to do.’
She insisted she would be helping her teenagers move into their dorm rooms, notwithstanding what Kimmel described as the ‘commotion everywhere you go.’
The appreciation Lopez had for one instructor was also visible
Lopez stunned as usual in a fitted dress
‘We’re going to pack up their rooms here, and they’re going to take all the things that they want to take to their dorm,’ said Lopez.
‘Then they’re going to realize that their dorms are too small,’ she quipped. ‘They’re going to miss home. I hope they want to come back real soon.’
The house in question is a five-bedroom, eight-bathroom bachelorette pad in Hidden Hills, a tony Los Angeles suburb that serves as home to a variety of Kardashians.
Lopez paid a staggering $18 million for the 2.5-acre estate last year after the collapse of her marriage to her fourth and latest ex-husband.

Guadalupe Lopez, Jennifer’s mother, came to support her grandson
A source told the Daily Mail: ‘Jennifer is living inside her new property and is thrilled about it because it is like her very own Barbie Dreamhouse.’
Although she hopes her children will miss the comforts of her luxurious new property, Lopez acknowledged that she can relate to their urge to strike out on their own.
‘I remember being that age and thinking, I couldn’t wait to get out in the world and do my thing. I really wanted to get out,’ she recalled.
Friends had been warning her that she would feel ‘terrible’ about her children going to college, and she initially brushed off their concerns.
‘And then like two months ago I had to write the thing for the yearbook or whatever the heck thing they make you write,’ Lopez told Kimmel this week. ‘When I tell you, the tears. Two days it took me to write those things.’
